As I recall, Fraggle Rock is being developed into a feature length movie, though I don't know if it's computer-generated or live-action or some combination of the two.

Muppets in CGI....:hurl: They would totally lose their charm:(

I'd have to go for a Darkwing Duck movie...come on Disney, bring him back!

True, but I don't think they'll cancel it...it may get pushed back until AFTER the individual movies but I can't see it being cancelled completely. If anything, they SHOULD do the individual movies first in order to develop the characters so they won't need to do so much of it in the Justice League movie. Can you imagine if they did backstories of every character in the JLA in a single movie??? That would be so choppy it would ruin the entire movie and leave little time to actual go on beyond the character development.

I say, "Bring on the Flash and Wonder Woman first!"...that way the only story development they'll need for a JLA movie is how they all came to be together as a team.

BTW...no mention of Robin...wasn't he in the JLA?

The first X-Men movie showed that you can have a superhero team movie without having to do huge backstory on every character. And since everyone knows the backstory for Supes and Bats, you don't have to worry about that for them. If you instead focus on one or two of the heroes other than those two, you could get enough backstory that relates to whatever the crisis happens to be that they need to face that you should be able to get a very good movie done.

Robin has never been a member of the Justice League, only the Superfriends... ;)

AHHH!!! That's right! Thanks for clearing that up for me!
(And Teen Titans  )

If you just concentrate on the other superheroes, you're giving too much screentime to certain characters and not the MAIN characters.

Let's face it...Superman and Batman were the biggest (and WW a close second). The Flash and Aquaman were secondary heroes (IMHO) although I do love both Aquaman.

EDIT: And, for the record...Wonder Woman (Linda Carter Wonder Woman) was the first time I, ahem, realized that girls "didn't have cooties...." (If you catch my drift  ) She was definitely my first crush :)

Hmm, maybe I'll post this here...I'm sure if there are any toy collectors out there, they'll pop in to this thread. No need to start a new one.

I have a Monsters, Inc. action figure from when the movie first came out. It is still in the packaging (forgive me Stinky Pete)...but I left it in the packaging for a reason. The package the Sully is in isn't the package for Sully...it's the package for George Sanderson. Pictures of George are all over it and where the action figure's name is...it says "George Sanderson" but it's clearly Sully in the package.

Is this worth anything? I remember when I bought it checking all of the other Sullivan's and they were all correct...this was the only one on the shelf that was wrong.

I have something similar to that. I found a Scooby-Doo figure a couple of years ago that was one of the pirate ghosts, Blackbeard I think, but the name on the package was the 10,000 Volt Ghost. I bought it just because of that.

Okay... just wanted say I would be more stoked than anything if they did a Darkwing Duck a'la the new TMNT film. That would be awesome.

And why are we getting JLA?...

I think the Teen Titans would be WAY better... give us a live action Teen Titans, with Starfire or Raven being the primary character conflict, Slade being the main, behind the scenes, bad guy and give GameHead the secondary bad guy role.

The sequel can introduce Tera and have Thunder and Lightning as the main baddies. Slade obviously reappears at the end... Beast Boy gets the main character nod and (in line with the series) Tera leaves the team at the end of the film.

The final in the trilogy (:lookaroun What?) would be the Titans confronting Slade and Tera, Cyborg gets the main character nod and Robin's conflicts with Slade share the spotlight with Cyborg's internal struggles.

(I'm a fan...)

While Teen Titans has gained popularity with the animated series, it's still not mainstream enough to necessarily do well as a live action film, at least not enough for a studio to take a chance on it yet. Justice League has been around since the 60s and before that was the Justice Society of America. And since it has always featured Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman as the main trio, studios execs who control the flow of studio money know those three names better than they would Beast Boy, for example. It's kind of like a decade ago, when Fox tried to do a live action series of Generation-X. It lasted for the pilot movie, which featured Jubilee as the main character and has some other characters that appeared in both the Generation-X and X-Men comics, but never went any further because not enough people who don't really follow comics knew enough to give it a chance.

RUMORS!!!!

Not a rumor: Adam Rifkin said that the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe movie has been written, but could not give any info on who will be producing, directing, etc.

Rumor: (From AOL Entertainment). He-Man...is rumored to be...Brad Pitt.

Next in line, Gerard Butler.

It looks like Legendary Pictures (Superman Returns) is in talks with Brad.

If he can get back to "Troy-form" and bulk up a tad more...I think he'll work out incredibly!

More "He-Man" info.

Justin Marks in writing the script, Joel Silver is producing it and Warner Bros. is releasing the film.

Justin Marks is also writing the scripts for "Super Max," Street Fighter, and Voltron. YES...you heard that last one correctly. VOLTRON!

G.I. Joe and Thundercats are rumored for a release in 2010. They are in VERY pre-pre-production.

Now that Transformers is being extremely well-received it has pretty much opened the flood-gates.

Bayformers lived up to the hype...and two sequels have already gone into the writing stages... Part II is definitely happening and Part III will happen as long as Part II turns a profit.

Masters of the Universe in 2009
Transformers II in 2009
G.I. Joe in 2010
Thundercats in 2010

I foresee Masters of the Universe turning into a Trilogy as well...G.I. Joe could be a one-time shot...and Thundercats will probably have at least one sequel.

Actually, G.I. Joe could turn out very successful depending on the climate when it is released. Remember, it would be a military team fighting a large evil terrorist organization...

I collect a lot of toys and have a bunch of wrong package stuff. It depends on the figure if its worth more, most basic figures seem to be a bit more but nothing huge. I have a limited hotwheels car that is worth about 60-80 andits a 10,000 print the same car was put on the wrong card and is worth about 15-20. I am sure there is a lot less than 10,000 of the wrong card, so you think it would be more rare, but collectors dont seem to really want it. I always pick up stuff like that just because its kind of cool, even if its not worth anything more.

Or it could be a complete flop due to the fact that it's a military team fighting a large evil terrorist organization

Hopefully people don't take it too seriously.

(I've already heard the comparisons with Transformers...)

The Allspark (Creator of Transformers) = God
Decepticons are killing for the Allspark (Terrorists hiding amongst us killing for their God)
Autobots and US Military trying to spot the Decepticons (pretty self explanatory).

People look too hard into things.

NEWS!

Justice League of America is a GO!

The main heroes right now are:

Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and the Green Lantern.

No Aquaman?!?!?!?

"I've also heard from sources that the "Justice League" film is more of a priority for WB than the sequel to "Superman," so don't be surprised if you see Brandon Routh in "Justice League" before any new "Superman" film.

In fairness, not having Aquaman isn't that big a deal. At times in the comics, he's more of a recluse than Batman, and that's saying something. Plus with all the crazy changes in the DCU over the past several years, one of the craziest is what happened to the original Aquaman. I'd go into more details, but even I don't understand it all, and I read some of the DC Comics still.
