Nah if cars gets cut then villains land will too
I get it if people would be happy if Cars was cancelled and instead RoA was just reduced to make way for Villains. But, if cancelling Cars means Villains would also be cancelled then I would not want that to happen.

If Cars is even just somewhere between "Okay" and "Good," and Villains is between "Great" and "Amazing," then I would take that one-two punch over RoA any day.
That last sentence kind of sums it up for me. If you take it for granted that the still very vague proposal for a villain's land will be between great and amazing, I can kind of imagine seeing the replacement of RoA and essentially Frontierland for a Cars land as a worthy trade-off. Personally, I'm still taking a cautious approach to the sudden embrace by Disney of a fan fantasy proposal that has existed for decades and been officially announced with great fanfare and little concrete details as something that will open after a couple of other big projects open. Particularly at a moment when they're trying to drum up excitement and smooth over some of their more controversial plans.

For me, keeping the bird in the hand that is RoA/Frontierland seems a better bet than throwing it away for whatever the Villain's Land might end up being, which could range from amazing to non-existent. I certainly haven't yet seen anything that makes me think they've finally cracked the code for how to make a land like this work nor, for that matter, that suggests it depends on the Cars area being built..

Well personally I think there attempts at living lands are all pretty good question is will it be a galaxys edge or a cars land?

Whatever water features it ends up with, I expect them to end up showing much more obvious wear and tear than the island did.

The water features in the Little Mermaid area look terrible. There's paint peeling everywhere and the pool with the Nautilus in it is completely green. I don't think they ever fish the garbage out of any of them.
I have never seen anything like that in the Mermaid water features

I was there today and I did.

I will concede that maybe the long streaks of white on the walls are some kind of intentional oceany feature I'm not aware of and if I knew about it I would think it looks great.
I believe you. I can honestly say i never saw anything like that before and have gone several times a year since it opened. Maybe a maintenance issue occurred?

Did you actually see any garbage?

There's this same barely-identifiable-might-have-been-a-fan-at-one-point thing that's been at the bottom of the Nautilus pool for like nine months. At this point I'm invested in if it's ever getting out of there. But it's possible that pool is just not cleaned while the others are for whatever reason.

This is possible. It did look like they recently repainted Ariel, so maybe they're refreshing.
