My reading comprehension isn’t that bad. The entire conversation keeps vacillating between Aulani, Island Poly Tower grievances and the hotel rooms.

In the Cars thread no less.

I don’t think anyone is really arguing Disney hotel rates are a good deal. But I was clarifying to Steve where that poster was producing that number from.

Haven't been since 1988 and have no desire to go back. Sure you can save by going through DVC but it's still not worth what they charge.

I admit I sometimes get lost in the endless posts. It's really hard to keep up sometimes. Especially when people talk about economic figures, which isn't really my field.

That's not to say I don't know what would be popular. I embed myself in communities and see things from that perspective. Like this one. (idky I added that but It's been a long night)

I just think it was fair to compare Four Seasons rack rates to GF rack rates that's all.

It was a joke in response to another poster going on about how people hate on the parks but haven't visited in years.

I have been almost 6 years ago. Haven't been back since. Partially due to have another child in the family in that time and for us the value just isn't there due to the constant changes in line skip systems and the rise in prices.

So basically you're just another lost customer......which is what the problem is....which proves the new systems are faulty.

I go back to Disney as often as I can...Why? Because there is still some of the old Disney left, and I want to soak it up before they turn it all into Moana, cars, and Toy Story flat rides and screen rides with a bit of frozen sprinkled here and there. Right now Tomorrowland is my favorite part of the park, when it used to be frontierland. This will drive that further. Tomorrowland ironically is the most nostalgic land now, and still feels like it did when I was young. They even got the GOOD music still going in Space Mt, hopefully for a long time. (though now that I said it Iger is gonna be all like A HAH!! Something Janet Likes! Let's destroy it!) The peoplemover, the rockets still on the tower, the carousel of progress, the model of Progress City on top, Even buzz doesn't use screens but actual props! What a concept!

As a side note...I'm starting to think Iger has a crush on Moana....like for real

In 25-30 years, the masses now will be just like the current fanatics, when Disney starts replacing their favorites and their pieces of nostalgia, and then they might understand why the fanatics feel the way they do now. There always has been a balance in Disney parks when it comes to old vs new, but now it feels like that balance is tipping towards the new. But, I'm sure there are other people like me that are almost ready to say "Enjoy the new WDW, I'm done and I'm taking my vacation $$ elsewhere." Will that represent the majority of Disney guests, or will it have a big impact on what Disney does? Probably not, but it's already starting to happen.

I was really bored so figured why not have some fun. I know it's not dead on and there's some guess work (esp for villains) but gives you an idea. Am very curious how the back of Cars is gonna be themed/look from the bottom of Tianas and Pecos. Along with Villains from Thunder.

This is great work!

I've always been under the impression that Cars will be where you have it here, and then Villains land will be where you drew it here, BUT the only difference is the show buildings would be behind the train tracks leaving all the land in front of it for shops/restaurants/villain character meetings and such. Maybe I was thinking too big lol

Sadly you have to get all of those people over/under the train tracks... Which is no small feat. The space behind the HM show building to the train tracks is about the amount of space that the Slinky dog coaster takes up in Toystory land...with a spinner... Hopefully they are thinking bigger for Villains, but it would not surprise me to have it be smaller than anticipated....

In my head I just always figured there would be some cool elaborate way in the queues of the ride where we don't realize we're walking above the train. Again-- I was probably thinking too big with this lol

What Nickm2022 drew there makes a lot more sense and still would be very large
