You can stay at a GF for 350 through a DVC.
A random search of GF:

Do you? I was last at Disneyland in late September and I was last at Disney World in February. And this is a slow Disney year for me!Even makes me wonder if most of you even go to the parks.
OH That was close to me I was in WDW in september and DL in aprilDo you? I was last at Disneyland in late September and I was last at Disney World in February. And this is a slow Disney year for me!
Haven't been since 1988 and have no desire to go back. Sure you can save by going through DVC but it's still not worth what they charge.Even direct, GF is a lot cheaper normally than Four Seasons. My point is there are easy options to save money through a DVc rental. That’s all.
You guys are doom and gloom all the time. Even makes me wonder if most of you even go to the parks. You guys are the ultimate source of misinformation.

I admit I sometimes get lost in the endless posts. It's really hard to keep up sometimes. Especially when people talk about economic figures, which isn't really my field. What??? You clearly don’t understand what I’m talking about.
WDW. It was more a joke as a poster was going on about the doom and gloom.Sorry, where haven’t you been since 1988? The Grand Floridian or WDW.
Even longer till they realize what they did361 pages and it’s only been two months. This is gonna be a long few years.
Yes, I know. Folks can get deals by renting DVCsThat’s rack rate, not DVC.
Points could be rented for 20$/p and a September week starts at a blended average of 17.15p/night. I assume that’s roughly where the 350 number is being produced from.
Now an owner will of course pay significantly less depending on how they acquired the points they are using. At the very generous side of things, approaching half of that. More like 60%.
Yes, I know. Folks can get deals by renting DVCsMy reading comprehension isn’t that bad. The entire conversation keeps vacillating between Aulani, Island Poly Tower grievances and the hotel rooms.
In the Cars thread no less.
I don’t think anyone is really arguing Disney hotel rates are a good deal. But I was clarifying to Steve where that poster was producing that number from.

It was a joke in response to another poster going on about how people hate on the parks but haven't visited in years. You haven't been to WDW in almost 40 years yet you spend a lot of time on a WDW focused website?
So basically you're just another lost customer......which is what the problem is....which proves the new systems are faulty. It was a joke in response to another poster going on about how people hate on the parks but haven't visited in years.
I have been almost 6 years ago. Haven't been back since. Partially due to have another child in the family in that time and for us the value just isn't there due to the constant changes in line skip systems and the rise in prices.
In 25-30 years, the masses now will be just like the current fanatics, when Disney starts replacing their favorites and their pieces of nostalgia, and then they might understand why the fanatics feel the way they do now. There always has been a balance in Disney parks when it comes to old vs new, but now it feels like that balance is tipping towards the new. But, I'm sure there are other people like me that are almost ready to say "Enjoy the new WDW, I'm done and I'm taking my vacation $$ elsewhere." Will that represent the majority of Disney guests, or will it have a big impact on what Disney does? Probably not, but it's already starting to happen.Well...apparently the masses want and expect more Disney characters, cartoons, movies and songs in Disney parks. This is what's been touted again and again - the "fanatics" here who don't want that are in a minority. The masses also wanted to be able to book LLs in advance just like FP+. The masses wanted a premium LL service like Universal. They also don't like outdated decor.
Disney is indeed giving the people exactly what they want. But you're saying they shouldn't do that? Or are you saying they should do that? I'm confused.
This is great work!View attachment 824645I was really bored so figured why not have some fun. I know it's not dead on and there's some guess work (esp for villains) but gives you an idea. Am very curious how the back of Cars is gonna be themed/look from the bottom of Tianas and Pecos. Along with Villains from Thunder.
Sadly you have to get all of those people over/under the train tracks... Which is no small feat. The space behind the HM show building to the train tracks is about the amount of space that the Slinky dog coaster takes up in Toystory land...with a spinner... Hopefully they are thinking bigger for Villains, but it would not surprise me to have it be smaller than anticipated....This is great work!
I've always been under the impression that Cars will be where you have it here, and then Villains land will be where you drew it here, BUT the only difference is the show buildings would be behind the train tracks leaving all the land in front of it for shops/restaurants/villain character meetings and such. Maybe I was thinking too big lol
In my head I just always figured there would be some cool elaborate way in the queues of the ride where we don't realize we're walking above the train. Again-- I was probably thinking too big with this lolSadly you have to get all of those people over/under the train tracks... Which is no small feat.
