Well we certainly are not going to know the operational and maintenance costs of the Rivers. Nor would we understand costs of environmental impacts and construction going beyond the railroad to build out more area to save this river.

So we can armchair engineer all we want, but there are realities beyond missing something pretty and using MSPaint to draw what we'd like to see instead.

Thats very true. I personally enjoy trying to figure out what "might" work. I find it to be an interesting thought excersize

We have no idea what MK's Cars land will look like until it opens as there will be changes/cost cuts as they develop it.

Including the fact we have no idea what they are actually planning to build. They didn’t even say what the 2nd attraction is…. Assuming it’s a basic flat ride.

Is the road rally the equivalent of 7 dwarves? Worse?

To me it comes across as a D ticket experientially
with an E ticket scale. I’m not seeing a lot of potential dark ride scenes. Might get a quick show scene or two if they don’t get cut out of the budget. So what does that leave? A less thrilling version of Indy out in the open with minimal show scenes? An off roading version of Grizzly River Run with a show scene or two? I don’t think this attraction will be WOW’ing anyone. It just fits on top of the ROA. It’s there to maximize space and bring in $$$ with the IP. To improve traffic flow and get people to Villains Land. The National park/ wilderness angle is just the imagineers trying their best to mesh with the area formerly known as Frontierland while also shielding the remaining attractions like Mansion etc from the new attraction with trees. It’s a mess.

I agree, it's fun to think about alternative and take a turn about imagining what you'd like to see. I tell my clients all the time "I can do whatever you want me to do, all it cost is time and money". At some point cost outweighs achieving your imagination.

The whole freakin’ point of why MK and WDW was built and where it was built was the blessing of size.

You can’t tell me with a straight face that some the most talented engineers in the world can’t find a way to link up to the space surrounding magic kingdom to add Cars land.

They just want to add a “new” attraction with as little as investment possible. They continue to fail to learn and truly pivot…

Second attraction:

One attraction will invite you on a thrilling rally race through the mountains. Take on wild terrain as you race across the landscape climbing mountain trails, dodging geysers and — Mater’s favorite — splashing through mudholes.
But what about smaller racers? The second attraction will be geared towards them and will be fun for the whole family.

Most people are guessing it's another Tomorrowland Speedway which likely means the old one would be on the chopping block at some point.

Agree. To add, it’s just what happens to fit on top of the thing they want to get rid of. It’s the ride that happens to be on the path to Villains Land. The thing people really want and the reason any of this is happening. People need to start viewing the Cars ride as just a bonus to Villains Land or they will most likely be disappointed.

It’s not that simple…. I believe there was a plan to have coco, possibly Encanto, and Villians land - all in a space “beyond big thunder” - maybe that meant shortening the river California style - maybe not.

At some point - things got cut down.
