Carousel...love it, or leave it?

but I also think it does not have a whole lot to do with Disney.
There certainly are ties into the park's Castle and Kingdom.
Prince Charming's Regal Carousel ties in with the story line associated with the Castle and it's inhabitants, the royal family. It reflects the Prince's training device to practice jousting.
Even before the change when it was just Cinderella's Golden Carousel, it held Cindy's horse, has Disney musical tunes playing and illustrations of the story of Cinderella.
Or if by Disney you are referring to Walt, the tie in is how he got the thought of staring the parks by watching his daughters ride on the rides at Griffith park.
I vote to keep the Carousel.... And I thought it always belonged somewhere out in front of the Castle.

We do it atleast once everytrip. Its kindof a disney tradition. Now my DH will ride it several times ina trip. He says it a classic and good place to take a nap out of the heat. :/

Love it.....the Carrousel celebrates it's centennial in 2017. I hope they make note of that fact to MK guests, as so many (most) don't realize the significance of these classic pieces of machinery. It's a beautiful piece of art and as long as maintenance is continuous, it should last forever. Last week, two horses were "missing", obviously getting the love they deserve back in Central Shops.

Love it! Something about looking thru the castle at night and seeing it in the background going round and round.

I cannot remember the last time I rode it but I am glad it's there. It adds a strong kinetic presence to Fantasyland

I love it. We go one numerous times each trip. Actually, I feel CoP is what really made my husband into a WDW fan. It's the one thing that no matter what gets him so excited for every trip haha. That and the cinnamon rolls.

LOVE IT.

My grandmother's favorite attraction at our local park was always the carousel. After she passed, I swore to go on every carousel I come across and get a picture. This one, next week (eee! HURRY UP) is definitely on my "must do" list.

Plus, I love the stylized wooden (probably all fiberglass now, right?) horses all dolled up in pretty colors...
