One more thought about Centertown Market, its a good thing that they offer the table service after ordering model. But why do Disney continue using the third-party table tracker pagers? At Be Our Guest they use Magic Bands to locate tables, every resort guest has a magic band, so why not use magic bands for table tracking?

Be our guest requires expensive equipment installed in every table.

The renovation is nice so much as the stuff is nice and new and clean, etc. But I think that it is bland and has no character [and I'm not necessarily referring to Disney characters]. The place seems to have no personality. Looks like the renovations at the Pepper Market at CSR [my home]. I can't stop what's coming but I think this is bad. Do people think this is what the moderates will become across the board? Does it play into less frequent refurbs or rehabs because everything is so neutral and bland we wouldn't notice anyways. Imagine that dining center at AKL? Seriously. It's horrible.

I'm thinking they will become much like Uni's "moderate" Sapphire Falls Resort, which is very nice, but does lack some character and uniqueness.

the LRS Table Tracker system also needs tracking tags installed under tables. But I assume the communication is handled differently and the processing is done in the tracker not the tag.
Whereas at Be Our Guest the MagicBand is the more passive tag I guess and the processing done in the table unit.

Makes you wonder if they had seen the system from LRS before developing the system for Be Our Guest would Disney have been lazy and put the unthemed trackers in there as well?

Photo update as of Monday, October 8, 2018. The old entrance to Caribbean Beach resort was open, but only to Disney and construction vehicles. The original sign was temporarily covered up. There is extensive chain link fencing on either side of the entrance, which probably means they will make significant changes to the entrance area for Riviera. On the inside, the roads are blocked off near the original security shack. The parking lot to the Custom House was blocked off.

It looks like the Coke Freestyles are staying at least for now. I’ve always hated CBR but I’m curious so I may try it for a few nights this weekend

We became believers of CBR after going to POFQ several long weekends a year and the front desk staff got crabbier and crabbier. Switched to CBR about 5 years ago, had many magical experiences there. The front desk staff starts off your vacation and make an impact, at least for us. I love the new decor, don't see it as bland, think it looks pretty upscale for a mod.

Agreed. Not seeing any reason for complaining. Very nice for a moderate resort.

Yes, the more I see - the more I like.
I expressed concern over the generic look of Sebastian's when the early image showed up.
But, now that I see the completed thing - with the additional updates around the resort - I'm impressed.
We (the family) stayed at CB several years ago and enjoyed it, but never went back - partially due to the transportation issues.
We chose Beach Club a couple of years in a row, followed by AK on our last trip.
Now, seeing these updates - coupled with the Gondola transportation - I would definitely consider staying in CB on our next trip.
