Audience Score at RT: Yikes!
Does it surprise you though, the trolls have been waiting to downvote this thing for months.

Meanwhile, Iโ€™ve been trying to rate it for like 20 minutes and itโ€™s not letting me ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

Edit- finally got in, not like my rating matters against the trolls here. This is disgusting.

Speaking of Wonder Woman that currently has an 88% on RT.

Iโ€™m going to say something now, some maybe wonโ€™t like it, but itโ€™s the truth. Brie flubbed up when she used the words and tone she did to get her point across. Badly. If she didnโ€™t do something like that to start such a controversy this attack on the movie either wouldnโ€™t be happening or just wouldnโ€™t be as big and the movie wouldโ€™ve been treated like Wonder Woman was. As just another movie.

Apples to Oranges but how would you rate it against Wonder Woman?
Thatโ€™s the thing, I really donโ€™t like comparing them. Theyโ€™re both period pieces that star women, but while WW ended up having a strong focus on a romance (that I definitely cried over), CM is more about celebrating friendships. The leads arenโ€™t even that similar despite their warrior trainings- Diana is sweet and naive, while Carol is a smart-aleck but pretty kind to almost everyone she meets on Earth, despite having her memory wiped. Okay, theyโ€™re both fish out of water, but theyโ€™re very different women.

That said, I think the third act of CM is stronger than WWโ€™s third act.

I still need to see WW.

Wonder Woman has that DC dark feel... Captain Marvel has the Guardians of the Galaxy pop-culture feel.

CM has a far more 'pro-woman' plot than WW. WW is more about 'strong female' where CM has plot threads like 'women held back by men', sexism, 'strong girls don't give up', etc.

CM would be more enjoyable to the popcorn audience I think... WW is a lot more stunning looking IMO.

If CM didn't have Nick Fury... I think it would be more like the early Thor movies... not able to hold the general population. But SLJ was cool in this film.

I don't know why people put any stock in what the scores on RT say anymore at this point its just a haven for the trolls.

Brie's plug for CptM M&G in Disney Parks (except WDW!)..

Themed walls and a M&G? I saw those in the theater lobby lol.
