How are the meals at Cape May Cafe? Is the breakfast any different than any other breakfast buffet? I really love seafood. Is the clambake worth it?

I have found the breakfast buffet to be very good, but not unlike many others throughout the World.

For dinner, I am also a big fan of seafood. I found the choices fresh and very tasty, I certainly would recommend it to a seafood fan.

We have done the breakfast quite a few times and really like it.

It isn't really different than any other breakfast buffet on property, but the service and relaxed atmosphere really make this a great experience for us.

Hi there! I have never done the clam bake, so I can not speak on that, but did do the breakfast here last September and absolutely hated it!!! Service was slow and the food was average at best. I personally prefer the character breakfast at Tusker House in AK or 'Ohana at the Poly. Right now they are my two favorites! Enjoy

I've done the dinner at Cape May several times. I've always enjoyed it. It's not the absolute "best" meal you'll have on property, but it's always good if you're a fan of seafood. The desserts are fantastic, too :slurp:

Heading for the great escape.
I didnt enjoy it, during free dining I thought the food average at best and the server stressed and over worked. Id rate it one of the poorest buffet offerings we've had in the last couple of years.

I've done breakfast there a few times and enjoyed it. Not my favorite but would definately reccommend it. You will find good reviews and bad reviews for almost every restaurant.. So I say give it a try.

We've done the dinner many many times. It's one of our favorites. There is plenty to eat for seafood and non-seafood lovers.

Last trip we decided to try the breakfast. We were a little disappointed. The food was just ok, it was the characters that really disappointed us. There are better places for character and non-character breakfasts.

Just back from a week at the World! Ate at Cape May for both breakfast and dinner.

My family all loved the dinner buffet due to the recent addition of snow crab legs to the buffet menu. If you enjoy shellfish (crab, clams, mussels, shrimp) you will enjoy it. We stuffed ourselves silly with the ayce crablegs w/drawn butter. Yum! Can't wait to go back! Non-seafood offerings were fine, but nothing special.

The breakfast was good, but as others have said, it's pretty much the same (cost and menu) as most others on property. Food-wise, we liked Tusker House better. For characters, Cape May had Goofy, Donald and Minnie. I wouldn't make a special trip, unless you were looking for those characters in particular.

^^^ Yeah , I believe the buffet is just average for breakfast also. I haven't been to tusker, but am going in two months. Glad to hear you liked it.

I'll second everything he said. I use to love this restaurant, but after going in Jan. of this year, I vowed never again. It's the first buffet I've ever walked away from, hungry. The quality and selection just wasn't what it use to be.

I adore Cape May! The best place to get your money's worth, I think... especially since the addition of the crab legs! They have recently overhauled their offerings a bit and have added some stuff. And of course they have the best dessert on property... OREO BON BONS!!! :slurp:

As for the breakfast, its just okay. Nothing too special there.

I have eaten here numerous times and have enjoyed each trip! The breakfast is the same as any other hotel on Disney property (It just has characters). If you do really enjoy seafood you should give it a try! I have enjoyed the mussels, I usually go for three bowls!!!

We need time for things to happen.
Great for Seafood Lovers!

We love seafood as well this is our first night dinner tradition every year.
I would have to say that if you're not a seafood lover this would definitely not be the place I would recommend but since you are...
Don't miss it! :D
