Honestly at this point any real plans for the future beyond what is already in production are on hold. Covid pretty much has everyone on pause mode till it ends. Even then sea world honestly could never entirely satisfy peta with a larger pool. Sea world may instead just take care of all their whales until they die of natural causes. Then a new species will take its place possibly the dolphins as they no doubt may prefer the newer larger enclosure.
That's what I'm thinking. They prob don't see the point of spending the $ on the Blue World Project if they won't have whales in a few decades. I wish they would do it though - it looked beautiful and great for the whales.

Yeah but there is a bit of a problem. They can only go so deep and then they hit the ground water table which would be a nightmare to deal with. It would also have forced them to likely make changes to the night time show as no doubt the requirements to alter the spacing for the whales to have more tank space would be pretty significant. They instead were able to budget it towards new rides, improvements to their night time shows, and even a revamp of an aging kids area into a far better one. This will help them bring in more people and eventually with time they may be able to make some improvements to the whale habitat though for now doing a project that deep will only be a big expense with a minimal profit as the rides tend to attract a lot more people per hour than the whales do.

They aren't doing Blue World or any expansions. Sea World Orlando has the fewest whales of the 3 parks, including one in her late 40s. There isn't much point in expansion if they will only ever house this decreasing population.
