I hope they don't get rid of the building and ride system any time soon, however I feel little attachment to the ride in its current state, and think that the content of the ride should go. Out of all the current pavilions, I feel that the the subject matter of this pavilion offers the most potential for a major redo. Unlike the subject matter of the other FW pavilions, UOE's offers the one with the most growth, investment, and interest.
The whole idea of new and innovative forms of energy and energy management is so publicized these days, and so EPCOT-esque, that it amazes me that Disney hasn't capitalized on it.
UOE needs new films with up-to-date content highlighting both the new sources of energy as well as the new means we have of managing them. The dinosaurs need to go in favor of a new diorama. The old state of the pavilion should have left when Exxon did in 2004.
