We are planning to disney this December and I wanted to know can I rent the 2 Bedroom villas! Please help me!
Who did you call? Private Party or a Broker?I hope I am reading your question correctly, that you are NOT a DVC member and want to rent a Villa? If so, then....
Yes, and we are NOT DVC members I called February 2008 for Christmas week 2008....we rented one of the DVC Villas at Animal Kingdom Lodge without a problem, Ill tell you what, there were people here (DVC members) ed to holy high heaven about it because many were on some waiting list or something to that effect.
But, to answer your question, yes, you can because I have done it.

Just call Disney like you would any regular room, tell them you want one of the Villas, done.

Well, not necessarily "done." Disney retains ownership in a small amount of points in each DVC resort. This basically means two things:
1: If the resort in question is in need of renovations, they can do it a few rooms at a time without shortchanging actual DVC owners.
2: Those rooms can be made available on a cash basis.
Actually I have never had ANY problems renting the villas...ever, I have done it several times during the busiest of times in Disney, I do not think she will have a problem.
As far as shortchanging DVC owners, they have been doing it, there were DVC owners on a waiting list to get into the villa that I rented. In 2008 it was a blow out about me renting the villa and not being a DVC member. I think Disney sees the opportunity to rent it to me ($$), so they do knowing that a DVC person will just pick someplace else... I mean lets be honest, they already have your money.

I stand by what I've written, but if thinking you're special gets you through the day, have at it.
Thanks JEANY! I think you can only rent points from a member though. Through Disney it is just a cash deal, like it was said, same as booking any room as opposed to a private transaction with a dvc member. The 2 bedrooms are great, love the kitchen and the laundry and of course all of the space.1-407-W-DISNEY

Jeany, Where are you looking at staying? We have stayed in 2 bedroom Villas @ Beach Club, Boardwalk and Old Key West. OKW has the largest rooms, Boardwalk has only lock off's (studio & 1 bedrm), BC has both dedicated and lockoff rooms. We love them all, but for location, BC or BW is tough to beat. Mikeany time Yanks07! Thanks for the info!
Because I love Old Key West and our family are spending for Christmas and New Years in December 2010! I really wanted to stay in Old Key West and Beach Club! I don't know which one is the best villas OKW or BC!Jeany, Where are you looking at staying? We have stayed in 2 bedroom Villas @ Beach Club, Boardwalk and Old Key West. For me personally, it would be OKW, If Im not mistaken they are the largest. But then again Im always about the room, I like to have lots of room. lolBecause I love Old Key West and our family are spending for Christmas and New Years in December 2010! I agree , OKW has large beautiful rooms, yes they are the biggest and the 2nd bedroom has 2 queen beds vs. 1 Q and 1 Sleeper Sofa as most others do. Can't go wrong either way but I would think OKW would be a bit less expensive. For me personally, it would be OKW, If Im not mistaken they are the largest. DVCMIKE....I dont really care enough to read all that, I have a life and NO INTEREST in DVC....but thanks anyway, maybe it will be useful to someone else.
