You are thinking of the Palace Diner, but no this was filmed at the New Berlin Diner on Rt. 30. Here is a pic. of the outside of it. The guy in the brown jacket (it was 85 degrees and he is wearing a winter coat) is Ben affleck.

They also took the word "Berlin" off the diner sign.

Okay, I know right around where it must be, but I don't get on 30 in that area very much. I'm up in Mount Laurel. I usually take 73 when I'm headed to the shore.

I guess Diners really are our great cultural contribution to the world.

Funny you say that. that is the new diner, they replaced an old diner (circa 1930) with that one. The old diner car was send to a diner museum up in New England somewhere.

Ok by the way. Gillians (as seen in my avaitar) is a water park and theme park on the ocean city (new jersey) boardwalk. I just liked the logo so I used it.

There seems to be a revival underway with lots of shiny new ones being built. You've probably seen that one across from Cherry Hill Mall. (And I should probably shut up with the diner talk before I bore all the non-Jersey people to death:snore: )

..have u seen the new Verizons Yellow Page commercial that is a spoof on the ending of Titanic?

...the old fart throws the jewel into the water....then she jumps in after it, finds the number of a pawn shop in the yellow pages, and it shows her walking out of the pawn shop, counting her money....

...a much more realistic ending to the movie I believe...:lol:

OK, I have to share my happy day.

You know John and I sponsor a few kids. Well, we also have 1 writing buddy, who is a person who has a sponsor already but that sponsor does not write (usually corporate). So the sponsor relinquishes communication to me, or another hyper sponsor who wants more kids to write to.

Anyway, our writing buddy is named Xuefei and she lives in China. We were hooked up this past spring and we had not received any letters from her, though we have written regularly. I was starting to feel a little bummed and then today- what a surprise! Today we received 4 letters. The office in China must have saved them to send together, to save postage, or else they had to wait for a translator to come to the village. I'm not sure. But the letters are so sweet!
