No way at all this story is worth $20k. It’s interesting to us to follow, but this would represent about a 30 second blurb in the major media.
The only news media I would think of that would follow this story would be Florida papers. I have no idea the kind of money publications are willing to shell out for stories, particularly smaller publications like these.

Its interesting in his latest tweets of him behind the boat in Pirates, that he is implying that he had to “work” on one of the AAs with the mechanics/engineers. AFAIK, he was only a Tech in entertainment when he worked there, but could be wrong, so it’s interesting to see him post photos and push this idea that his work actually involved a lot of behind the scenes work on these rides (something Entertainment itself isn’t involved in). Also that poor CM he added a Mickey face over to blur them out, I’m sure there’s enough info to figure out which mechanic was with this kid/recognizes him and figure out who was with him taking those photos (you can at least tell their skin color and somewhat of their build even from the photo he posted). Would hate to see someone else brought down too...but if he knew he was up to no good with this kid then by all means (maybe unpopular opinion here) he should face some consequences too

Paying for stories is a big, big ethical no-no among newspapers in the U.S. Television networks may pay for exclusive interviews with big newsmakers -- and it's rare they even do that -- but generally speaking, the only U.S. media outlets that pay for stories are places like TMZ and the National Enquirer.

It's much more common for U.K. news outlets to pay for stories, but that's a separate discussion.

He's dressed in professional shirt / paints that photo, not in tech clothes...
So um.. someone pretending to be in management one night?
Did you mean the mugshot? You can only see shoulders up in that one, but he did seem to dress somewhat professionally in that. Makes sense since he was going in for a meeting with OCSO.

His Pirates photo is definitely not a tech uniform (all black) and what managers wear, that outfit could def be passed off as management type role. It’s just so crazy, unless he was working in that type of Engineering role, there’s no reason his real job would have had him inside an attraction like Pirates, let alone working on “fixing” an AA. crazy

Perhaps he was shadowing someone in that position? Disney sets things like that up a lot and they generally ask the people doing it to follow the non-costumed guidelines.

Gee thanks. Could you be a little more specific?
What do they do specifically. Using that term in a sentence was a good start but I'm going to need more information, like an actual job description. Think Who, What Where and When....
Entertainment specifically works on all the Shows and Spectaculars. Despite the “technician” title, someone in entertainment would have no business repairing an AA in any ride. That’s what so bewildering. Wish him luck in his hearing tomorrow. Hope he doesn’t get sick then too

The ones of the two skippies with their skins off and Sir laying on the floor.
Skinned stitch is still around, surprisingly. (But then again that didn't come from BDD)

Now if they had used that version of Stitch the ride would still be open!

Agree. If they were doing something improper or knew that he was, my sympathy goes out the window. I'd be surprised if some people haven't gotten fired over some of the stuff he posted (like the club 33 pic). Anyone who thought it was a good idea to give this guy photos... judgment is not their strong suit.

Wish him luck in his hearing tomorrow. Hope he doesn’t get sick then too
You're nice than I... ;)

Have I told you lately that I 👍 you?

Looks like your good luck wish has been granted! ;) The resisting charge was dropped today.

That’s likely because he put on his big boy pants and got a great Orlando criminal defense attorney. This doesn’t negate the fact that he had texts and photos on his phone showing and talking about this incident....just dropped the charge of him resisting the officer, which was probably a stretch to begin with

Hopefully others don’t read this as him being found to have not been involved with any of this, because that’s not the case at all 😉

My question is, if they found evidence on his phone then why hasn’t he been charged with anything?

Wish we knew that, all we can see is that they had photos sent from his phone showing stolen items in his car and text messages saying what it sold for. I’m not sure at this time why he hasn’t been charged with anything else.
