I just did some math.
Boston's "Rolling Rally Parade" for the Red Sox is along a route that is 3 miles long.
3.5 - 5.5 million people are expected to attend (what a way to narrow it down  )
5,280 feet per mile.
3 miles long.
3,500,000 people
5,280 feet X 3 = 15,840 feet
3,500,000 / 15,840 = 221
221 / 2 = 110.5
110.5 represents the amount of people DEEP per FOOT of the parade route.
(Now hold a ruler up to you and see how much room YOU personally would take up...hehe)
(and that's using the conservative number of attendees!)
(I still don't know why they didn't do the entire marathon route.)
