Does anyone have any suggestion's on the best buffet resturants either at the parks or in the disney hotels....Travelling in a big group next year and think this could be a great option to keep everyone happy :ROFLOL:

We love the Crystal Palace-Magic Kingdom, for their Character breakfast. It's a really great buffet.

We also have a special place in our hearts for Biergarten in Germany. It is a buffet-style which includes a fun dinner show and they have very large tables.

We have just got back and as a party of 9 did Crystal Palace and Tusker House, both for lunch. I would recommend either one, if you are a meat eater then Tusker House is a must, excellent choice and quality - and the deserts were lovely too!

I did find some of the foods very similar at both venues would have no problem recommending either

You can book reservations most restaurants 180 days in advance. A party your size should book as soon as possible.

I enjoy the Crystal Palace as well. Other good ones are Boma, Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare, and the Garden Grove Cafe at the Swan.

Boma for something different, Cape May Cafe for seafood and more and Chef Mickey for character breakfast. I haven't been there for dinner, but many people love it.

Allow me to chime in. I travelled with a group of 14 over the summer. We went to a few buffets and all you can eats: Ohana (yummy and very fun for groups), Hollywood & Vine (just ok, we did it for Fantasmic package), Liberty Tree Tavern (very good food), and Cape May (good food and lots to choose from). Just be aware that they may not be able to seat you all at one table. It happened to us a couple of times, but we were at least only a table or 2 away from each other.

Gonna follow up on recommendations already made:

Boma is wonderful for breakfast (a must for all of my family's trips!)
and Biergarten is brilliant (great food, great service, great show, and great beer :slurp:)

Have a great trip!

Heading for the great escape.
Bomas still has its moments especially the soups, though I thought there was less choice and fewer exotic dishes.
Cape May I thought was one of the worst buffets I have encountered at Disney. It was like eating at an expensive Ponderossa, very busy and the food no better than average.
Crystal Palace was pretty good, food well cooked and presented, despite being busy.
Biergarten is great, if you like German food, which we do, but I know somepeople are put off by whats on offer.

I think that 1900 Park Fare is a great place for breakfast. We went there for the first time in June. And we loved it!
As for dinner, my family loves the Cape May Cafe. We have gone there at least once every trip since I was two!!! I dont even eat seafood, and I love it there. But if you do like seafood (especially clams) Im sure you will love it

We had a group of 13 this year and ate at several places. Chef Mickey's breakfast was probably a group fav. Have you thought about doing a grand gathering at Tony's Town Square for breakfast. Advise doing this especially if on dining plan (gratuity is covered in price). Food was okay but it is a very good character experience. Has anybody tried Akershus for breakfast? We were thinking about that one this time. Would really like to eat with Belle.

My favourite was character breakfast buffet at the Tusker house, good choice and it tasted yum! Crystal Palace was fun but I didn't think lunch buffet was organised that well, always seemed to be giant queues and no food on other counters. Chef Mickeys and Hollywood and Vine, food was good at both and they served something a bit different from the norm, choice for children at all lunch buffets was a bit limited, especially if you have a child who doesn't like macaroni cheese or mashed potato.

Definately book 180 days in advance if you can , it felt more relaxed not having to wrorry about where you was going to eat at the parks. Good Luck:wave:
