I flat out reject this premise. His projects have had consistent "Disney timelines". His budgets have elicited more bang for the buck then pretty much anything Disney has done in recent history. Look at the attendance boosts generated by Everest and Pandora or the remarkably quick timeline for Mission Breakout.
You should watch the featurette about the “research” for Everest

It was a cortège of about 50 people slogging through the Khartoum airport

Things didn’t go the way you’re making them out to have gone. Projects became jobs programs instead of capital construction…which isn’t “the way”

While we all seem to agree this is a positive move…unfortunately the timing of it is obvious.

In a months time this may result in zero positive net change - unfortunately
Bruce , Colglazier, Catherine Powell, Rohde all seem to hook up post Disney careers. Bruce and Rohde both " retired " from Disney , Powell was fired from Disney went to Airbnb and Bruce reported to her , Colglazier went to be CEO of Virgin Galactic with Rodhe as an exec for Virgin .With Iger back, Bruce returns to co manage WDI with Barbara , now Barbara a Chapek hire " leaves" Disney. Now Bruce runs WDI. As the world turns... Some say talking about WDI execs having control but in the end its Iger who looks for who he can control.

Any rumours yet about where she’s moving to? The PR written announcement seems to suggest she isn’t actually leaving Disney, just WDI.

Rohde is not an “exec” at Virgin Galactic. He merely serves as a consultant with the flowery title of “experience architect. You could even say it doesn’t mean much to him as it’s not even listed on his LinkedIn.

Virgin Galactic has brought in Joe Rohde as a strategic advisor to help design and guide the overall experience journey for future astronauts, friends and family, and inspired fans alike.

So where does WDI go from here? In their present form they aren’t capable of fulfilling Bob’s recent comments or any of the blue sky stuff, or $60B (lol) in future capital spending.

Are they hiring? Attracting the best talent? You’d figure that for anything of significance to be done this decade that this would be occurring already?

It’s also a lazy to blame Chapek for this. The institutional rot was well metastasizing before he was “in charge”.

It’s a really odd thing going on. She was president over a division that will create themed attractions that tens of millions will experience each year - but that doesn’t have the reach she was hoping for?
