We arrived back home yesterday. We had lots to do in regards to picking up Akira, Wyn and Newt (our 3 dogs) and getting unpacked, cleaning, blah, blah, blah. Do we have the Disney blues after spending an amazing 7 days in the bubble? Nope! Why? Well....
We have another trip booked for December, so, no Disney blues! I'll be starting a PTR for that but not util I finish this TR.
Lets get right to it!
Day 3...
After an absolutely mind blowing night at HS and Galxys Edge wegot a good nights sleep and took the morning slow. C's aunt and her boyfriend were driving up to meet us for lunch at the Springs. I had some coffee on the balcony while everyone was getting ready.
We made our way to the Springs around 11:30. We drove there because Zack, (C's cousin) noticed his truck was leaking oil and he made an appointment at a nearby shop to have it checked out and serviced while we had lunch. We followed Zack to the shop and then they hopped in with us to head to the Springs. Since we had gotten our Tables in Wonderland card, we had free valet which was nice.
We did some shopping for R's birthday (all star Star Wars stuff). He was absolutely infatuated with Rey after the night before. He got a few sets of action figures and a Darth Vader suit for Halloween. After shopping, we headed over to lunch reservation at...
C and I had been craving this food for several months. We ordered pretty quickly, lol. I went with the fried chicken sandwich.
It was amazing! C ordered the sampler platter and even added an extra dish of collards as well.
Cuban sandwich for Paul, her aunts boyfriend. A friend of his who had been to Art Smiths told him it was good so went with that, and some mac and cheese on the side.
He loved and said he would definitely ordered it again.
Her aunt with the cheeseburger and also loved it.
We had a great time and our server, Stella was awesome. I asked her how many people do the Marlon Brando, "Stella!" routine. She said quite a few but what annoyed her more was that people reference it from Modern Family (the tv show) and if she tells them that it was Streetcar Named Desire, they give her a weird look. She gave me permission to belt out a Stella since I knew the proper reference. I politely declined, lol.
Lunch was great and Stella brought out a doughnut/cake treat with a candle for R. I didnt get a picture of it.
After lunch I took Zack to get his truck because he and R had to head home since he had to work the next day. C and the rest of the gang stayed to do some shopping. I dropped of Zack and R and met back up with them. C, her mom, and her aunt began to collect the Disney Parks exclusive Pandora charms last year. I met them at the Pandora shop when I returned. C was shopping for her bracelet and her moms. She was definitely excited to be shopping for two bracelets. Pandora charms will be a very heavy hitter for the remainder of this trip. Be prepared!
We shopped around and settled down at the Polite Pig for a round of drinks and a light snack.
We must have sat there for over an hour just chatting and having fun. You can see C's Pandora bracelet in the picture. Please note that there were about 3 charms on it by then. Boy will that change quickly.
We headed over to Ghirardeli (spelling*) for ice cream and watched the sunset. Shortly after we all headed out and said our goodbyes. It was a great day. By the time C and I got back to The Boardwalk it was about 8 pm and we decided to hang out at the room and get a good nights sleep. We watched Jaws as we fell asleep.
It was our first day in a very long time that we had a Disney day without going to a park. It was quite relaxing and spending the day at Disney Springs has definitely grown on me.
