Brazil to join the World Showcase at Epcot

Why not? WoL is dead space. The area buy UoE and Mission Space is often dead compared to other park areas. I really would like to see something brand new to headline Epcot! Not a refurb of an old idea. To me, that'd get me to buy a 70 something dollar ticket.

Read the rest of my post. Epcot carries it's crowds wonderfully, even at peak times. Am I saying I don't want anything? No, no at all. I would love something new at all the parks, but if I had to pick a park to build something new, Epcot would be at the bottom of my list.

It holds it's crowds well, and needs refurbs/updates before something new.

Epcot doesn't need anything. It's current attraction lineup carries it's capacity wonderfully. What Epcot needs is some fixes for some bad(JII) or out of date(UoE, Soarin') attractions.
Future World, sure.

WS has not gotten anything new in 21 years. :brick:
Eq. Africa? I think you mean central and southern regions. In that case I don't disagree, perhaps Kenya is the best choice if they did that. Eq. Africa has some pretty unstable areas so getting a myriad of countries to agree on content and make the investment would be complicated at best. A single country is much more likely. That is how WS has always been constructed.

It's not like the region isn't presented at WDW already though. Between the africa section at DAK and AKL, both the natural and cultural aspects of the region are nicely represented. India, South America and southern Pacific (Austrailia, Phillipines) regions are sorely lacking however in World Showcase.
Yes, that's what I was going for.

I would want the EC Pavilion to be TOTALLY on Culture, however.
LOL at the Brazil banner at the bottom of this page at the moment. Steve, you have a sense of humor, no doubt.

I'm not saying it doesn't work, I'm not saying that it's stale. I'm saying that it just needs a new draw. 21 Years is a long time to go without any changes.

Agree, and plus it's half the park.

Epcot does need something new. Not necesarily Brazil, but something. IMO, FW.

Quick geography lesson. Kenya is Equatorial Africa.

West Africa; Ivory Coast, Liberia, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone, have far more problems than the more stable, Chad, Nigeria, Niger, and Cameroon. All bets are off in Sudan.

Yeah...just look at the UK pavilion. One country - one pavilion.

Once again - you're spouting opinion as fact.

That is why I said "more likely". There is always an exception. Do all exceptions really need to be pointed out everytime?

No.

By the way, they call it the UK pavilion but it sure comes off as the England pavilion (for the most part). Just an observation.

I order to be taken seriously...yes.

I feel that Brazil is a good option for a new WS pavilion. However other nice country additions could be Greece, Russia, Spain, or Saudi Arabia/Israel/Egypt (any country from the Middle East).

However I feel a nicer addition for the World showcase would be expansions of the United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan pavilions, which all lack movies and rides. I feel an addition would also be good for the Italy pavilion in my opinion.

Disney makes so many references to France. That needs a massive ride of some sort. Maybe the Ratatouille ride for WDS.

...like that'd EVER happen....

They just need to slightly update and digitize the film. Otherwise the France pavilion is perfect!

No more dumbing down WS please if you want to make a ride it should be about France not a cartoon character.

Eh? Ratatouille is already in France pavillion. Alice, Poppins, Snow White, Donald Duck, Pinnochio, Gipetto, Aladdin, Jasmine, Mulan, Mushu, ect. already appear too. This is a Disney park, too.

I don't think it'd dumb it down. It has a big adult crowd, or so I think I remember so. Don't quote me on that though.

Actually, I'd love to see a Gondola ride in Italy. Expand it. I love Italy pavillion so much, but c'mon if you don't eat there, after you buy some wine and stuff, meh.

It could have SO much more.

If I have to pick a new country, it's going to be Russia. St. Basil's sitting along that lagoon, they would be after my own heart! :)

If they want Brazil, just confine all the tour groups to that area and voila! Just kidding!
