Brazil to join the World Showcase at Epcot

Europe is already heavily represented at the World Showcase. South America is a large populous continent with no representation. Brazil is the largest, most populous country on this continent. The addition of Brazil to the World Showcase was probably a pretty easy decision for Disney planners.

Well said. Except for the assumption that the decision is already made.
But I agree, enough of Central Europe.
Brazil, India, Australia or Russia would be much fresher choices.

But I'm not holding my breath.

True, but being out neighbor to the north they were given a pass.

But technically, Cuba's the closest foreign country to WDW, so why don't we give them a pavillion? (Waiting for angry responses)

I'm going to go the "I'll believe it when I see it" route on this rumor. While WS definitely needs some new life injected into it, I just don't see them adding an entirely new pavillion, unless they choose to demolish World Showplace (or Millenium Village, whatever you choose to call it).

As well you shouldn't.
I have heard nothing to indicate that there is a Brazil pavillion anywhere on the horizon. I'll be in Epcot this weekend and will check around, but yeah....breath holding is not a good idea.
Well you just heard here. Unless they run into some sort of last minute snafu, it is "game on" for Brazil's inclusion.

Not trying to be stubborn, but I really don't think a new pavillion at WS can sneak up on us. (By "us" I mean those of us on the boards who are in regular contact with individuals both in the parks, in Glendale at WDI, and in Burbank.)
There may well be a concept out there for a Brazil pavillion, but it can't be very far along in the approval process. Likely it hasn't gotten beyond being proposed at some point.
As I said, I will be in Epcot this weekend and will ask around to people who would know without a doubt.

That's something you wouldn't be able to get by the lowliest of the lowliest CMs.

I believe the new Brazillian Pavilion will go right between Equatorial Africa and Israel. Heck, maybe it'll even pull some of the crowds away from Switzerland's Matterhorn; it'd be nice to have wait times under an hour there.

Duck and cover! The sarcasm detector's gonna explode!

It will be located between Germany and China near the Outpost. The pavilion will take advantage of the lagoon there to make an Amazon boat ride through the jungle.
This part also confuses me.
Use what lagoon to make a boat ride? WS Lagoon?.....

Yes, but will it put a dent in the Godzilla ride in Japan? That's got the biggest lines in World Showcase.

....
I just made myself sad...

Russia would look beautiful anywhere they decide to put it.
Yep. It would look fantastic lit up for Illumi, too. :D

The lines for Godzilla arent nearly as bad as fastpass at the venetian gondolas in Italy, they are gone by noon every day.

now im sad too, especially after reading the line about Russia being lit during IllumiNations, wow.
