booking our reservation package??? We need to wait one more pay period and our 180 days out will be Friday. Can I go ahead and book the ressies without it? I would think so as people who are off property book theirs without a on property reservation.. Please help if you can answer this. Thanks so much!!

Yes -- anyone can book ADR's, you don't need any type of resort reservation or advance ticket....

ADR's are simply that -- dining reservations just like at any restaurant....

That's what I thought but I do still have to wait the 180 days right?? Or Not?
Or is it any time if you do not have on site reservations? We in the past have always booked the dining with our reservations but this year.... really wanting Free Dining or we will wing it on one meal a day. If that is the case and no free dining I will cancel so someone else can have our time slots. But I do not want to not be covered in any case.

You can book at 180 days out- regardless of lodging/pkg reservation, but by not having that...you'll miss out on the 180+10 benefit. i.e. you'll be on the website or calling each morning vs doing it all at once.

ok so its like our first day would be a sat so i can book sat one day then call back the next and do Sunday etc. That seems so silly. Wonder about all the people that do not even know about the forums and how to do the booking for eating. What a rip off they do pay for dining and are told they cant get in anywhere..

Unfortunately, you've only got two alternatives. 1) As you've mentioned, you can ring up as each day of your trip reaches its 180 day point, or 2) wait until the final day of your trip reaches its 180 day point and make one phone call to book dining for every day for your trip.

Option 1 means a bigger phone bill and more time spent on the phone. Option 2 means you run the risk of not getting where you want when you want it

Good luck

Ok may just go ahead and book just the room and one day of tickets to get on the books so I can go ahead and book on Sat Morning. Thanks for the info,I thought I knew everything about Disney, but this I did not know.. especially calling in each day. We have unlimited long distance.. only way to go so that would not be a problem.

You can also go online to make your reservations so that you don't have to call at all. Each day, you can go online and make 1 reservation until you have all of them. That way you don't have to book your package now.

Yes, you can book your ADRs before actually booking your trip.
But, if you book your ADRs after your trip is booked, then you can link your ADRs to your reservation # at the time you book them.

I did this - It was by like 2 days though, not a week. I don't think that it is okay if you do it just to do it and don't know if you will be traveling. But if you know you will be going and just need a few days, I think it is totally okay to do it. We've all be there with waiting for the pay days! I'm still trying to figure out how to pay for this trip!!
