Hi everyone!

WOO HOO!!!!

We booked our trip! I am SO excited!

I happen to have the day off so I get to spend all day planning planning planning! :)

Okay, the details:

Staying at Beach Club, Garden Room, from February 21st to March 1st. We have an 8 day MYW ticket with Park Hopper and the Dining Plan.

So I hopped on the waltdisneyworld.com website this a.m. and it only allowed me to pick room on reservations so I had to call. Which I never mind doing b/c for the most part, I love the cast members. And I talked to the most amazing and helpful cast member today! She was awesome! I explained that I tried to make the reservation on line and it wasn't allowing me to pick a package. She didn't know why but I am just assuming it is another one of those famous website glitches.

We were hoping for YC standard or garden room but YC is already booked! She said that she is getting a TON of calls from guests changing their room only YC reservation to a package. So next time, if I am ever waiting, I need to book Room Only for the following year when I can and then change it later. She did say lagoon/pool room views are still available. But I grabbed the BC Garden Room b/c it is easier to move up a room then down. So if we choose a pool view later, then we can upgrade easier then needing to down grade.

I nearly choked at the cost!! I always book under free dining or some other promotion and I am confident that they will issue a new special offer for early 2014 some time in late fall. But for now, I'm paying off a very large number! EEK! CHOKE!! COUGH!! My DH may not need to know this number! :) hee hee

Dining opens up for me on the 25th of August. So I will hopefully finalize the plans for that by this weekend so I am all prepared for the big date!

Congrats to everyone who is booking for 2014 today!!!!!

The count down begins!!!!

Happy Planning!!!

So excited for you! Yacht Club is already book??? I need to book my May, July, or October trip now!! I have itineraries planned for whichever we choose now I just need my family to pick which month!

Yep! Only lagoon view and club level is available for the Feb dates we were looking at. We will see if anything opens up, if anyone cancels. But we are happy with the BC. We stayed there one night this February. But spend a week at YC a few years ago. So more time at BC is always good. :)

We will just miss you. We will be there Feb 7-14. We are really hoping for free dining or a room discount. We've never gone without a deal, so hopefully this won't be the first. If they don't offer free dining, we might opt out of the plan. I hate to do that, but it is so pricey that I think we can eat cheaper paying OOP. Happy Planning!

I know what you mean. I am a little in shock at the actual cost of things. When I told my DH, he nearly passed out. :) I asked him to guess and he was off by $1500. YOWZA! But I am really hopeful that a discount will come. If not, we will adjust and make some changes. But hopefully we have a good budget plan in place and it will all work out. :)

Just booked Riverside March 1- March 8. Damn the prices went up it seems. Now we usually go in early Dec which is a value holiday season. Is this just the jump to regular season prices? WOW. Like everyone else I am waiting for the resort discounts to come around. The CM I booked with said they really aren't doing the free dining much anymore. But that the hotel discount 20%/30% pretty much pays for the dining. Not quite sure about that. Anyway I took the real mad hatter recommendation of Riverside. I am sure we will love it.

Yes, they have gone up but we are also looking at full prices. I was a bit shocked at the price but it will come down when a discount is applies. :) I think either discount comes out as a wash. They hike up the prices of the rooms when they offer free dining so in the end, I think it comes out the same. I have not run numbers or anything but when I was talking to a DVC rep, that is what he told me. He said that he thought it worked out better when they offered a room discount. We stayed at Riverside in September of last year. You will really like it!!! We had a Royal Room which was fun! :)
