Didn't see it...how was fan reaction? I don't follow baseball too closely until play offs, and that's only if the hometown team is in (yep, I'm a pretty fairweather fan).
Though, on the radio the other day Glenn Beck suggested an interesting scenario. He suggested the best way for Bonds to end his career with class, and to prove that he is an above board guy, was to come just short of beating the record. To tie it, and walk away. Because everyone would know that of course he could beat it, and all the bad talk about him would be eclipsed by the fact that he was sure of himself to know that he could do it and that he wasn't on performance enhancing drugs. I don't know if I'm expressing Glenn's view correctly.

Well, atleast ESPN can stop shoving this crap down our throats. Its been incredibly annoying how they switch off the Cards game I'm watching only to switch to Bonds clumsily hitting into a double play in the Giants game. :brick:

While I don't necessarily care for Bonds, Scott does know a lot more about baseball than you may think. From my perspective, he is very passionate and devoted to the game, and unlike many of us (myself included sometimes), he knows what he is talking about when it comes to baseball.
I'm not sure if Bonds is the best player, but regardless, he is one of the best :shrug:
