The Walt Disney Company as a whole has not recovered from lost revenue due to the pandemic at this point.
There is no such thing as “lost revenue”…by definition.
You make money on a given day or you don’t…and then the day is over.
Don’t play their game with semantics meant to be pitied.

Let’s talk about now 5+ years of company wide mismanagement and missteps. It’s a doozy of a list.
95% on Iger. Lesson Endeth

Inside the Magic is reporting that Iger will discuss TWDC later this week including possible NBA Commissioner Adam Silver ( Iger's friend ) to be the next CEO to replace Iger. Iger is on a 2 year contract .
I tell you what…it’s a hell of alot of a better idea than I’ve heard so far…

Especially if he fires all the holdovers…who need to go

I thought Iger was a big NBA fan and that is why he green lit the failed NBA experience.

I wonder now if he green lit the failed NBA experience because his friend is Adam Silver?

Now he may recommend his friend Adam Silver for CEO.

Worth a try, Iger can always "Chapek" Adam Silver after he is in the job its not working out.
Iger lost all his street cred…that much is clear.
Is that stock $175 a share again? Nope and it’s not heading that way.
Bob’s watch has nearly ended…for the second time…the dubious daily double.

I had heard this somewhere as well… seems to be a decent fit at first glance.
Silver loved the set up of the NBA bubble at WDW while all teams played their games at nearby ESPN sports complex however some of the NBA players that were cooped up in the bubble spent their free time in a cloudy haze smoking those funny cigarettes throughout their stay in the resorts.

NBA Experience was an NBA project. Why should Disney have refused to take their money?

Adam Silver is really good at promoting innovation and has, so far, handled PR issues pretty well.

I think he's ideal for "returning the power back to creatives" and leaving Adam to managing the broader organization.
Silver knows not to rock the NBA boat. He commented marijuana is banned in the NBA but will not commit to drug testing the players. 🙄

Agreed, As the landlord, Disney will take anyone's money, even a stinker like the NBA Experience.

Iger knew it was a stinker when he green lit it but he green lit it because of friendship.

The only real loser is the Disney Springs guest.... and the NBA.
Of course it was a loser…but is it possible that they greenlit it so there was no way they’d have to pay a penny to operate something that gobbled up people and wasn’t $11 a minute?

I think he had something to do with green lighting THIS tenant.
After all this reedy creek hubbub…it’s ridiculous to suggest otherwise.

Now I think Disney should have full control…cause it’s worked to a hundred billion worth…but of course they decide.

Need to get out of Orlando for some perspective if you don’t believe that. Wasn’t even debatable

No, they did not. The NBA went running to Disney to do something bigger when they learned that Universal was kicking them out.
Having seen the business case, that is not true. You're welcome to provide empirical evidence to disprove that statement or you can take me at face value.
