It’s kind of funny how people say Disney needs to abandon brick & mortar retail while they operate their own successful lifestyle center.

A big part of the reason that the Apple Store at Disney Springs didn’t happen is because Apple typically get below market rent since they attract so many people into malls. That’s what The Disney Store should be, not just a place to dump the same generic merchandise but unique locations that people just want to visit. They should drive people to their select locations, not be dependent on their foot traffic.

In that we agree. I think it has to be a bit more than just a store though. It needs to be almost a destination.

What that means and what that would encompass - I have no idea.

I haven't seen Titanic and can't comment on its quality. But isn't there supposed to be some class based commentary involved? I believe there's a handful of nasty wealthy people. I recall seeing a clip where some snob attempts to prevent poorer people from boarding a lifeboat with them. Someone who has actually seen the movie can better clarify though.

The best part of Titanic is the 2nd half anyway. 😉

You’re missing out. I don’t care what anyone says, it’s fantastically gripping.
I don't like taking a major tragedy and turning it into a Leonardo DiCaprio love story. Not to mention that DiCaprio and Winslet can't act their way out of a wet paper bag. I don't find it compelling at all.

Bob grew the beard because he felt the cold winter was coming, yet sadly he knew it wouldn’t be enough.

He further prepared by phoning Chuck Norris, hoping he’d divulge secrets around wielding a beard full of competence. Chuck had a price and it was called ‘Come look what’s inside my beard.’ BIP! Somewhere between the small chin and dazzling beard came a fist of fury at such speed that Bob C bopped back to the Hollywood Hills, but not before ricocheting off a Welcome to Texas sign. Sure enough, less than 2 days later he was met by MiB to escort him out of an Elton John show because beard or no beard, this dude had to go.

"The shakeup inside the Walt Disney Co. continues, following the return of CEO Bob Iger less than a week ago. The next exec to exit is Arthur Bochner, Variety has confirmed via a source familiar with the exec.

As first reported by Puck News, Bochner’s exit is probably not much of a surprise, given that he had been behind much of former Disney CEO Bob Chapek’s messaging as the leader’s speechwriter. Bochner had served as Chapek’s chief of staff until this past August, and more recently had been moved to a vice president of strategic communications position as Chapek faced mounting controversies — including his response to the Florida “Don’t Say Gay” bill, which first angered Disney staffers.

More recently, Bochner was behind Chapek’s remarks on Disney’s Q3 earnings call. Chapek’s performance on that call, and a follow-up memo to staff, is believed to have led to his eventual ouster by the Disney board.

Bochner is the second high-profile Disney exec to depart following Iger’s return to the helm of the company on Sunday. The next day, in a memo to Disney staffers, Iger announced that Kareem Daniel, chairman of Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution, would be stepping down.

Iger also shared that restructuring at the media giant would begin “in the coming weeks.”

Bochner, like Daniel, was seen as a key lieutenant of Chapek’s, which made both execs’ departures expected. Disney employees are still marveling at the surprise announcement, in a late Sunday night memo announcing that Iger would return to lead the Mouse House, with CEO Chapek resigning effective immediately after a tumultuous tenure of nearly three years."

Ah yes, let’s criticize two Actors who have won Oscars and been nominated countless times. Look I know it’s cool to hate popular things but you are very much in the minority. Titanic and Avatar were both widely successful and ran in theatres for the better part of a year, remember Top Gun Maverick and how everyone commented that it ran in theaters for 5 months, these movies both roughly doubled that.

How many movies of theirs haven’t you seen?

I can't speak for Winslet as I don't recall ever actually seen her in anything. DiCaprio's acting in his youth however was quite poor. That said, he definitely got WAY better. I found his performance in the Aviator to be really good, and then Inception as well. Shutter Island is the best i've seen from him.
