Remember Dreams do come true because YOU ARE THE MAGIC!!!! Thanks Walt you had something to do with this for sure .... we needed this new direction Happy Holiday's all
Its the truth though and is well documented. He kept passing over other potential successors (who would then leave the company entirely). That is complete crap…no way you believe That
My quick Wikipedia read on him is that he's now sort of a free agent within the larger Disney empire, and not really an integral part of the Pixar brain trust anymore.I think Andrew Stanton is still around.
The writing was on the wall with the stock price dropping as it did You started the year near 160 and a few days ago it was close to 85... If Chapek didn't see the writing on the wall he was more of an idiot than I thought.
A part of me is thinking “Wait is this an elaborate prank? Really?!” Not because I like or dislike Chapek (kinda neutral on him) but wow how fast and without warning!
He’s devoting a lot of time to live-action directing, though. I think he’s looking for a shot to redeem himself for John Carter.I think Andrew Stanton is still around.
What did Chapek do? He's just the board's underling, after all. /sI'll never understand the anger at the underlings whether it's D'Amaro or McCarthy (or even Feige for some strange reason).
What exactly did McCarthy do that deserves her being fired?
What did D'Amaro ever do -- that wasn't determined by his boss -- that deserved him being fired? You wanted him to stand up to Chapek and tell him he refuses to enact Genie+? He'd be immediately fired.
Tell me what they did, which wasn't foisted upon them, that deserves being fired.
Ageee on both accounts. The MCU thrived because it had mass appeal and was accessible to everyone (EDIT: and star power). If you don't have Disney+ or do but only watch the features, you now are missing much of the story.I think they should have given it more time
But nobody knows what any of that is…which is the push to fringe problem
There’s a reason why “comic book geek” Is a term…gotta push towards main stream at all times
I agree, but it was a cool new toy that attracted and inspired a unique group of creative thinkers. I don't think you could assemble that kind of team with an established technology. The technology was a nice novelty when Pixar started, but it was hardly the main reason for their success.
Story was key to their early run, and I feel like they lost their way a bit when Joe Ranft died. He was the heart and soul of their story process.Pixar simply made good films. Sure, they knew the tech had tremendous potential. But they never forgot they were still making movies, and unless you are striving to be a one-hit wonder, the tech would not be enough.
He secured the 21st Century deal! oh wait......What exactly did Iger do that was amazing?
I don't know about amazing but saving the Pixar relationship was the right move. What exactly did Iger do that was amazing?
Ironman was fringe to 99% of movie goers until he wasn't. Marvel success is only limited to actually making a good movie, which is not an easy thing to do. Their track record (and your mileage may vary) is proof they have good creative instincts when it comes to adapting the comic book catalogue.I think they should have given it more time

I mean... that's on you.If you don't have Disney+ or do but only watch the features, you now are missing much of the story.
