I give this story no validity…for three reasons:

1. This is the last chapter of iger’s “coup”. She flipped on slappy and this is the next move. Why? Because humans and common sense.

2. They have to do this as a precursor to looking for OUTSIDE help. Remember: stability is the prime goal of the PR campaign here

3. They put the gift shop fool in charge. They don’t put a glorified accountant in charge now.
Because even Wall Street now understands you need a somewhat creative “figurehead” at the top of an entertainment conglomerate. This won’t be allowed. Too much money will be lost in the ether.

Bob has a track record so I expect him to look around for someone about three weeks before his contract expires, this is way to early to be anointing

Why in the blue hell would they want to promote a 67-year old to CEO as a replacement for the outgoing 72-year old CEO??

Oddly other sites say shes 65-70. With her birthday being reported Oct 21, 1952. Either way you're correct. No way she's in it for the long haul at this point.
If you guys figure out the reason why this is even a possibility for Disney…
…can you also figure out why they pee on their own fanbases when they make movies too?

…thanks, love ya babes 👍🏻

Bird flu wiped out a bunch of the flock and you are just a bit beyond Thanksgiving. Doesn't excuse robbery but that is how they think, supply lines
There were plenty of turkeys in NJ and we got ours at a decent price…. .49/lb… as far as burgers go, lest year too my daughter to school in California…HAD to try In n Out…IMHO, no better than Checkers. Now White Castle…mmm…double cheeseburger STEAMED, crinkle cut fries and the best fast food mozzarella sticks.

…those weren’t turkeys. There’s a mutant emu farm on duck island in Trenton 👍🏻

Because the outgoing 72 year old has already said he's leaving 3 times and will cause far more damage if he stays again. Putting McCarthy in charge in two years will give the pro Iger faction more time to find another suitable replacement outside the two year time frame.

Iger will still control TWDC long after he's gone.

Just a quick comment on yesterday’s conversation here that I was reading about bad burgers in WDW.. well for the most part I agree except for D-Luxe which I find very good. I just ate the Main Street burger at The Plaza and it was excellent. So… there’s 2 places for a good burger now. Sorry for the interruption.. continue. 😃

I really like the burgers at Beach Club.
I'm uncertain if the same burger is sold elsewhere in the parks - I'd imagine it is.

The Southwestern burger at Connections is very solid too. Had it in May and was pleasantly surprised. That or I had low expectations compared to other quick service burgers.

Even Jay Rasulo, her predecessor, makes way more sense then McCarthy. He did her current job, better, he was Chairman over Parks and Resorts and other key rolls at Disney for 20 years, and he is younger then her. I can think of 10 people better suited then her off the top of my head.
