What for you was the biggest let down about a place or ride in Walt Disney World?? Mine would have to be the ehole Animal Kingdom park!! I think they could have done so much more there before they opened it, even if it meant pushing the opening day back what!! What are other peoples thoughts:confused:

Well, I, for one, think the Animal Kingdom is one of the best parks in WDW...No other park's attractions change everytime you go. The theming at the Animal Kingdom is complete throughout and if you're talking about "lack of rides," then you're missing the point of the Animal Kingdom altogether.

The let down for me...would be MGM, just the last time I went...the backlot area is so vacant and it seemed like there was very little reason to venture back there.

I'd have to agree - I'm not a huge fan of the Animal Kingdom. I spend about 3 hours there, and I'm more than satisfied.

It's funny - I love MGM, but I too was a bit disappointed the last time I was there. That whole backlot area is really a complete waste of space.

BTW - Is New York Street used for anything at all???

While I try not to think of them as "disappoinments"...after all, it *is* WDW, hehehe, I would have to say I was kind of bummed by the new Journey into Imagination ride. Not really in a big hurry to get back to that one.

Also was pretty sad to see Mr. Toad go, simply because it was one of the rides I remembered most from going to WDW as a small child. I'm still undecided on the Pooh ride.

Hopefully it will be soon becasue it's getting a whole new skyline and the car stunt show is opening around that area!!:sohappy: But i have to agree the backlot is dated and needs to be freshened up:king:

Am I the only one who likes the new Journey Into Imagination?:lookaroun

Maybe it's just the idea of now having to wait in a line that I like.

RNRC at the studios.
If I want to see a roller coaster,
then I can go to SF, USF, IOA or
BG. When I go to Disney, I
expect to see something alittle
more creative then a roller coaster.
I wont go on it for that reason.

OH MY GOD - NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

The RNRC is the bomb!!!! I love that ride!!! Go on that at least 10 times a trip!!!

I can appreciate your feelings about Disney being different. On that, I agree.

However, 2 things to keep in mind:

1.RNRC IS different. I've never been on a roller coaster like it before. It's a roller coaster, Disney Style.

2.They DO need to try and keep with the demand from thrill seekers. especially with Islands Of Adventure not too far away.

Yer they do need to have something like RnRC in Disney to try and draw people away from Universal!!:king:

I'm disappointed that the Alien Encounter is gone :( . I know that it was seen as an anomaly by many, but I really looked forward to that attraction on prior visits.

Um - I mean, I HATE that ride!!!! (just kidding)

I seem to like a few unpopular rides (Imagination, Carousel Of Progress, El Rio De Tiempo, Snow White).

I guess it's better to like stuff people don't, than hate stuff people do. Makes for a shorter wait time!:sohappy:

I couldn't have made a better post than this. At first I was an AK loather. Now, after a few trips, I really enjoy the park. It's different, it takes some getting used to, but in its own way, AK is a very unique park. I look forward to it now.

MGM? Take it or leave it.

Although I know it kinda had to go, I miss Horizons and Mr. Toad. They seem like such Disney classics. I'm also dissappointed in the lack of interest in TLS, which was one of my favorite parts of Epcot. However hopefully with M:S and the new Soarin' and Test Track, interest will be brought back to Epcot and TLS can be restored! I hope so! :)

I too loved Horizons, but could care less about The Living Seas.

To me, it's like an aquarium with no fish.

Oops, forgot the original question! I was dissapointed by ToT, Splash Mt. POTC and the Haunted Mansion.

Got ya! I was dissapointed by ToonTown Fair and Dino-Rama. Two ugly places! Other than that, I LOVE Disney!
