Biggest Disney Pet Peeve

Other than rude, ignorant, discourteous people, my all time biggest pet peeve with Disney World is that if you want to eat at certain restaurants, go to a character meal or be on or at certain attractions other than first thing in the morning, you have to be on the computer and/or phone, to the second, early on the day they start taking reservations. Six months for restaurants or three months for fast passes before you are even going to be there. Miss being the first few in line, you can be on hold for a l o n g time or miss out entirely, or by the time your first choice is booked, your next choice for another time or day is already unavailable. To book everything you would like can take hours over multiple days, It's like planning an invasion. Plus, who the heck knows what they will want to eat on a certain day six months in the future or that it won't be pouring rain the one day you have available, without reservations,to go to a water park..

Yes, you can go to Disney World on short notice and have a good time, but there will be no character meals, little choice of table service restaurants, and long lines for favorite attractions.

Edit. We usually stay on property.

Had to jump into the fray here , and mention something that won't be popular!
I hate getting hit in the face, back, side, by those humongous backpacks. It never fails. I get in line and the guy in front of me is carrying enough stuff for a family of 24! I know people have kids and need stuff, but when did it get that everyone has to have one of these huge backpacks. It would be okay if they respected others space and just didn't swing them into others while in line or other places. I have been hit in the face more times than I can count. I had young children too and never brought one of those things with me.
Okay, pet peeve over, and out:)

Back to pet peeves...

People who let their children pee on the side of the trails (especially in AK).

People who get to the registers at the shops and then decide to get their money out and suddenly realize they don't have enough and start bartering with the family on what they will and will not buy.

People who stand in queue and sneeze or cough without covering their mouth.

Not enough TS locations in MK.

Early closing hours for AK.

OMG, I was staying at POR last year and was sitting by the pool. I had their landscaping to my back and all of a sudden I heard water hitting the ground. Turned around and some British family was letting their kid(about 8yo) pee in the bushes right next to me. Ummm, gross, not to mention you could see the restroom from where we were. I told them that was disgusting but they didn't think it was unusual. The kid was old enough to go swimming by himself while the family sits there so he was old enough to make it to the restroom.

Who am I going to believe, you or my lying eyes. LOL I got a good deal at ASMo for an average of $115/night. The cheapest hotel that I would even consider staying at was $89/night for that time frame. $25 difference a night for a total of $275 in "savings" but then rent a car and pay for gas and tolls and parking and that more then eats up the savings. IDK where Goofyernmost stays at that is cheaper then that and is not a rat infested dump. Staying off site when compared to a deluxe hotel is a given, but not all of the Disney resorts are $300+ a night, as we all know.
In my case, the fact of not having to pay for a rental car parking ect. allows us to be able to say at a deluxe instead of a moderate.

Even worse is when they carry the kid like a backpack and are constantly whamming into with the poor child.

Busses. I visited AK on my checkout day. I had breakfast at Boma so I drove my car to AKL before hopping to AK on the bus. I needed to be on the road by 4 so I could be home four hours later by 8. I was at the AK bus stop at 2:30. 40 minutes later still no bus. We had to wave down another bus driver to dispatch a bus. A bus marked Comtemporary rolled and switched its sign to AKL. Finally! I was on the road by 3:45pm.

I hear you. I always make a point to put my backpack on the floor between my legs if standing on a bus, boat, or monorail. If in a queue, I tend to remove it and carry it by the top loop.

It is gross but at least he didn't pee in the pool.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when you are waiting in line, you take a few steps forward as the line moves, then you stop. However, the toddler in line behind you forgets the stop part and walks into your backside. OK, it's fine if it happens once or twice, but every time the line moves??? Usually the parents don't even notice, they are too busy on their phones.

my biggest peeve right now is that there's so much construction that's moving at a snails pace. how about NOT demolishing something till you have your act together?!? between that and making people do so much planning while not giving out the needed info or yanking attractions, it's so aggravating. :banghead:

Yeah but he was right next to me. I could have reached out and touched him. Not cool at all. There is no excuse to urinate outside like that when there is a restroom within sight.

Don't get me wrong, I totally agree with you. Perhaps my attempt at a little humor failed. :)

I agree and don't close anything else for refurb until you have some of this stuff finished.
