Biggest Disney Pet Peeve

From my experience, the problem at MCO is that all people for all flights get routed through the same checkpoint, and it's always just totally overwhelmed. I've waited much longer at MCO for TSA check than I have at any other airport in the country.
Yeah MCO is over the top. I've seen some ridiculous lines in Atlanta as well.

I think my biggest pet peeve is people proving the "Ugly American" stereotype. Filthy, Rude, Inconsiderate, Selfish, and downright disgusting.
Case in Point...-I saw one due, probably 45ish, picking his nose and wiping it on the seat in a bus to POP.
-Saw another 'diet-challenged' woman that (I swear on my soul) looked exactly like Roz on a scooter literally RAM into a woman that was walking in MK, had the nerve to scream at her that she was "In my path!"
-Some people need to learn to hold their gasses in while in queue lines... I don't appreciate your flatulence!!!
-I'll repeat the sentiments of others here: USE DEODERANT! I don't care to smell cold cuts emanating from your pores!
-If you cut me in line I will make sure to make a fool of you, I don't care if you "no comprendo"!
-Wear family appropriate clothing. No one wants to see your butt crack (or cheeks), and I don't like when some woman is walking around TL or BB in a Thong... Makes things awkward with a 15 year old DSS who is now drooling...
-People who think they are the only person waiting after Wishes that is exhausted, sore and cranky from being at MK all day and walking 15 miles. WE ALL ARE, and you are not special and deserving of a second seat on the bus because you need to rest your feet.

Just be considerate! I love WDW, and so does the family. We absolutely rush to the showers every night at the hotel just to wash off other people's nastiness, let alone our own sweat and park grime.
this made my day good points though. :hilarious:

I'm not sure if this was already mentioned, forgive me if so. I know it might sound ridiculous but it absolutely drives me bonkers when you are waiting in a long line for an attraction and the people in front of you don't move up when the line moves lol. (I guess the same thing goes for sitting in traffic lol) :cautious:

I've always wondered why this bothers people (and I acknowledge that it does bother a lot of people). You aren't going to be in the line any longer than if there were no stop in the line. In fact, it may seem to move faster because once the person does move, the line will move at a steady pace until they get caught up with the rest of the line.

While true, it would be an issue if you're in the part of the queue that is in the hot sun and you could be entering the building with A/C but for the people in front of you who won't move up!

It's the perception of making progress. I know intellectually that it makes no difference, but in the moment someone is stopping me from proceeding through the line. I've been known to catch peoples' attention and point forward in the line, urging them to keep it moving. Again, it doesn't really matter, but it makes me feel better if I can make steady progress.

For me it's because I do much better walking and moving than standing, I don't care how long the line is it's just much easier on me to walk than stand.

Which is exactly the reason way the old pre-fastpass days were happier times around WDW. Yes, some of the lines were longer, but, they moved constantly so even though you did spend a lot of time it wasn't anywhere near as frustrating as just being at a standstill while others in the Fastpass line forge ahead. I will say until my dying day that Fastpass was one of the worst things that they ever instituted in any park. Instead of a "we are all in this together" system that people griped about slightly, it wasn't the look at those SOB's streaming on past me. Didn't I pay the same money for admission as they did? It went from good natured gripping to out and out anger. I very poor way to spend ones vacation time and we wonder why people are so pushy and angry these day. What Disney thought was a good thing for both themselves and the guest turned into a 1000# Gorilla that no one knows how to get rid of.

I agree, but the "fastpass" thing is becoming a norm in the theme park industry, I'm just glad they are still free at Disney unlike everywhere else.

I rather see it cost something, just to level the playing field. Then, at least, I would know that that group of people have paid extra to run up ahead of those of us stuck in the stand-by line. Somehow, that would indeed make me feel better about the wait. It also would make the FP line smaller and have the standby line move quicker.

I would say my 2 biggest pet peeves are these. The first is the oblivious smart phone person walking around not paying any attention to what they are doing. Now worse with FP+ and people constantly checking their stuff. I'm not sure what possesses someone to stop in the entrance to a ride and start checking their phone to see if a FP is available or to check when their FP is because they can't get in. My 2nd thing is cast members who do NOTHING when people are breaking the rules. They just let them do whatever they want because they don't want to cause a scene.

If you go that route, I would rather it be for people staying on Disney property. If you are going to give Disney all of that extra money(and most likely not leave the property), then I think that should be another perk like EMHs.

OK, how about switching it around and have FP for onsite and EMH for offsite. Both are designed to let the crowds all get the opportunity to ride without long waits. I don't know what the current ratio between onsite and offsite happens to be, but, to exclude a perk like that to massive amounts of people would very likely end the life of the theme park anyway, and no one will be riding anything ever.

No other park had a FP system of any magnitude until Disney did it. If Disney were to stop doing it, I would bet that it wouldn't be long before everyone found a reason to drop it as well. It has been nothing more then a total pain in the butt to deal with. It was an idea that sounded good on paper, but, didn't take into account the way that humans think about the negatives and only concentrated on how they might receive it if they were fortunate enough to be able to be in the positive side of it. They changed it in an effort to try and make it more fair to everyone, why would they ever consider doing something that would be even worse. Like I said, they could take the big one time hit, and just drop it completely, but, the wrath at this point would be palpable. It would all settle down after time, but, if I were them I would disconnect my phone for a few months.

When I went to DIsneyland 6 years ago, all the screeching children who's parents did nothing about it is what bothered me the most. I had a great time other than that.

Oh, I have seen way worse than any of those there was a women at HS , with her whole family, wearing a totally sheer blouse with no bra and just two of those round Mickey Mouse stickers that were "strategically placed". I was just dumbfounded she was allowed in like that and that her family was not mortified.
She may have had "the twins" covered when she entered the park. People think they're getting away with stuff, and will do any classless inappropriate behavior to "stick it to the man".

We ate at the Primetime Cafe tonight and we always look forward to it. Well tonight there were these idiots from south NJ that were sitting at the next table from us and they were SUUUUUUUUUPER loud! I mean I've never seen a more obnoxious family and I go 3 times a year. I was dumbfounded by their complete lack of self awareness. At one point the little boy jumped up and slapped his dad in the face and they were just laughing about it! The WORST thing though was one of the women had on shorts and you could literally see her butt. I mean they rode so low on her that her butt was completely hanging out of them. I asked for the check as early as possible and took the CM off to the side and told him that his service was great but I just HAD to get away from those morons. I've never seen anybody like that at Disneyworld. He told me that most people from southern Jersey act that way. If anyone on here is from southern Jersey, PLEEEEASE don't EVER act that way! Ruined my whole experience tonight honestly.

I grew up in North Jersey and have lived "down" the shore for almost 25 years...unless they're a piney, they were probably from Philly and got lost in South Jersey driving to Wildwood.

OMG, I was staying at POR last year and was sitting by the pool. I had their landscaping to my back and all of a sudden I heard water hitting the ground. Turned around and some British family was letting their kid(about 8yo) pee in the bushes right next to me. Ummm, gross, not to mention you could see the restroom from where we were. I told them that was disgusting but they didn't think it was unusual. The kid was old enough to go swimming by himself while the family sits there so he was old enough to make it to the restroom.
At least they didn't let him pee in the pool!
