yes thats definitely something that should happen. i would love to see some more work done on the remaining three parks. some updates in future world, more rides or expansion at animal kingdom, and an expansion with hollywood studios.

Next time you contact Anna, please don't forget to let her know about our continuing demands that the cutbacks to WDW's holiday season offerings come to an end, including our demands for the return of the Country Bear Xmas Show, Lights of Winter, etc. and that we want the Haunted Mansion and Small World holiday overlays to happen out here at WDW as well.

I don't doubt that you spoke with someone named Anna. I don't doubt that Anna works for the Disney company. I don't doubt that Anna told you these things.

I do doubt Anna's information.

Sure, it sounds plausible, but key components have been refuted. For example, the hat was originally conceived as an attraction (twin ferris wheels for ears). Ultimately park ops didn't want the burden of an actual ride being added to MGM, and merchandise said, "hey we'll take it". The original placement was going to be at the front gate and it was to include something similar to One Man's Dream as well.

If any derivation of World of Color was to come to the WDW, it would likely be Animal Kingdom 1st, DHS 2nd.

I have no idea when the Fantasyland changes will be announced.

well from what she told me is that the annoucement would be in the next few weeks. i think someone should call guest relations and ask the same questions just to see if we get the same information. the hat needs to put to rest. they aren't moving it. no matter what issues there are it's staying.

A lot of what she told you could merely be a canned response they use to answer anything. The "wait and see" is especially a basic response to cover anything they don't have an answer for. So don't take is really as "good news" because it could've possibly just registered with you that way.

well all i know is that when i asked her if the hat was going to be removed or relocated she said it can't for "legal" reasons. it might not include the gmr. we didn't go into detail about that.

Thank you for sharing THE BIG NEWS I only hope the next time the news is bigger.........

Which is the type of impression that individual (and Disney in general) would want.....

Not trying to be rude to OP, but honestly, what you were told was nothing more than canned responses. I've received calls like this from people at Disney, as I'm sure anyone else who has ever sent en email to guest relations has.

A.The people making the calls have no idea what future plans are.
B.Even if they did, they wouldn't tell you.

Well there's your problem, Meg Crofton is probably more clueless than the bus drivers.

^ That made me laugh rather loudly

Very true. I mentioned that to the OP in the other thread but he seems to be on cloud 9 about this call. I don't see any new information here, and I personally wouldn't trust any answers coming from the Crofton camp...she is one person who seems to be ignorant of guest feedback.

We took a fireworks cruise one night (see botched proposal thread of mine from a couple months back) and the pilot had started giving us the normal spiels, but when I let him know that I already knew most of that stuff and we could just have a regular conversation, he explained that he had been working at PI for about 15 years and proceeded to tell me the events of the night that Crofton came in with the execs on the night when they decided to close the facility. Now I take what CMs say with a grain of salt, but I wouldn't put it past Crofton and her team how it went down.

"You'll have to wait and see"

Sounds much like the blow-off "we'll see" that parents around the world use on children every day...

I warned you that was going to happen. For some reason, around here, people love to make fun of people and be rude when they post info and/or rumors that come from places that they don't like. I don't understand it.

Now--you should have figured out by now that phone conversations with Disney Representatives are very unreliable. So take that for what it is. It is true over the years that lots of people have posted stuff they have heard from those conversations that turns out to not be true. Really, they probably don't have a lot of information.

That having been said, of course you had the conversation and were enthusiastic to share, and you shouldn't feel bad about it. I think it's awful the way people beat up on other enthusiastic people around here a lot of the time.

So--thank you for sharing, enthusiastically, what you found out. And please don't let the rudeness get to you. At times, I've had to just walk away and try to ignore it, and that's hard to do when you really, sincerely just want to participate in a Disney Fan group. But I don't really see an end to it. The internet aids and abets anonymous rudeness. People can point out that the info is a bit suspicious without being rude, but for some reason they don't.

Thanks again, and we'll all wait and see how your info shakes out. Here's hoping there are some great grains of truth in there!

I don't believe we have heard anything definitively one way or another about the the hat, many people thought the wand was there forever and it finally went away so you never know.

Don't we already know (and have known) what is going on with Fantasyland for quite some time now?

Right or wrong, if you're going to post on ANY message board, you need to take the bad with the good. If you can't, don't post.

To the original poster. You certainly have enthusiasm and that's great. The reason that you are getting the kinds of negative responses from people who have been here a while is that guest relations type cast members do not provide inside information to guests. In most cases they are not aware of any plans, and if they are, they are not spokesmen for the company and won't give information out.

It sounds like the cast member was trying to be helpful and fuel your enthusiasm, but please be aware that you do not find out company plans from talking to guest relations, and people here will not take it seriously.

Unless it comes from a bus driver.

I realize that now. Just thought I would give all the information I got. The only thing I got DEFINITELY is that an announcement about the changes of Fantasyland will happen the next few weeks. Everything we talked about IS pure speculation. She couldn't confirm anything because plans are constantly changing. I encourage people to read the ORIGINAL post. I didn't post anything that said THIS IS ALL TRUE. I know that a cast member could of gave me information that wasn't all true that's why I said take it with a grain of salt. To be rude and try to say that I'm being naive and don't know what I'm talking about. I posted a conversation I had with someone who worked at Disney. TAKE IT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT AND STOP POSTING RUDE COMMENTS. And for the comment about don't post anything if I don't like rude comments....NO. I shouldn't have to deal with people being rude on the forums. If you don't believe what has been written go on to the next thread. No need to bash me. Thanks.
