Yes but not from a refurb like this. They want this back.
Agreed, I'm sure they will open it as soon as they possibly can. If it's sooner than 2026, I'm sure they'll be as thrilled as the first guests to ride again. Once the track is done and tested, it's all up to the new effects. I can't imagine it would take six months to install a few new lights and smoke in that final lift hill.

They’re still building the maintenance building.

That should not take 6 months. That doesn’t mean it’ll reopen sooner, but that part alone does not seem difficult.
They got a really late start on that part of the project due to demo. Throwing up walls is easy but I dont know what kind of tooling needs to be installed and calibrated in the maintenance shed. Based on the building height there could possibly be a gantry crane install. Very possible that area needs to be complete prior to test and adjust, making it a pacing item for test cars.

Also note Universal was running trains for something like 6 months prior to opening stardust racers, and they still valleyed a train a few weeks before previews. Theres definitely going to be significant training and testing time.

Im just hoping they'll be able to remove the crane fairly soon or at least lower the boom.serious eyesore.
