I always assumed that part of the length of the closure had to do with all the work happening around the ride more than what is being done to the ride itself.

New track also means new ride controls. They started clearance envelope checks but that’s a process. There’s also the new maintenance facility that is still under construction and will be needed to properly test everything. Even just the ties still need to be installed on the track.

It’s actually just the new osha reg in action. “Spotter Requirement’s for Spotting Spotters”…each spotter now requires 8 spotters to spot the spotter. Safety!

After all those humans scrawled over it's undersides and suffering unmeasurable humiliation it should just be happy to be securely bolted in place and not look to lord it's laggard position over the others.

I was at MK most of today and there was a lot of action over at ‘Tony’s Mountain’ (aka ‘BTMR’ ).

Crane action, lots of construction guys milling around, clipboard passing, more crane action, and more.
Best part was I had a front row seat straddling the line between both backstage and front of house at the Frontierland train station.
Lots to see at the time I was there.

Sorry, no pix…but I’m sure others captured some of the action today from the flip side.
