It has been partially validated by other trustworthy people in this thread, apparently even the admin here. Only the downtime appears to be wrong. Closer to a year and a half instead of three.

How true is this if it is still running VQ? I'm sure that, technically speaking, it can put through more people per hour than what will be allocated.

You can always run VQ but then open it up to standby at the end of the day if you use up all the groups.

I don't believe they've ever done this. Even when rides could clearly accomodate it (see Cosmic Rewind).

Impressed you’re willing to own it. Several of our former “insiders” were unwilling to admit that sometimes intel is wrong. Part of it is it’s a big company and everyone talks but no one has extensive knowledge of EVERYTHING. So sometimes, it’s just what your friend thinks they heard someone else say they heard from someone else.
Lots of room for stories to change in that.

Steve has also confirmed the re-track. The initial timeline of 3 years seems to be off (other insiders are saying 18 months), but the gist of the original rumor looks to be true.

It has to be. While Disney is no Universal where you blink and boom! there's a new thing in the park, even Disney wont take 3 years to refurb Thunder mountain. Lets hope for 18 months.
