Disney often has their own custom or heavily modified control systems. This was why Intamin very publicly disowned California Screamin’ about 20 years ago when there was a train collision.

If there’s any truth to the power washer story, there would be finger pointing on things like communication and who did what.

There are variables in the relationship between the vendor and installer from being the same, to authorized installer to no formal relationship. But the installer probably wasn’t doing everything like running power and data through the site so different subcontractors hired by the GC ere possibly involved.

The in park maintenance team has to be throwing a fit over these, they fix it, works for a day or few hours and then something goes wrong

It was never proven to be fully fixed, they could still be working on it after hours.... as others have said multiple times

We don’t really know if things have gone “wrong” yet with the new installation. The few times the new panels have been turned on in guest view since the repairs, they’ve been in B-mode, and any issues seemed to be programming or signal issues resulting in inconsistent colors appearing adjacent to one another. This may be what they’re working through. It’s not yet been shown to be physically failing in the way that the original installation did, where the seals broke, the covers warped and cracked, and the lights subsequently faltered and flickered out.

Yeah. I'm in the camp of they're doing it section by section, and then turning them back on after a successful test while they work through everything.

Thursday the panels on the side of the Communicore Hall were all working in some capacity. I'm not sure what the A or B mode of those is, but it was shifting in and out of a blue/purple gradient. Seeing it was off Sunday wouldn't shock me since, if the lights working would signify a successful test, then they'd go off until the next section.

I had popped in last Sunday and none of them were working at all and this was the day after the lighting by the planter was in B mode. So I really do believe they're getting there, but I really want to believe they're trying to get this working.

I accidentally spilled my $24 beer on one of the lights and they are now broken. Sorry.

Nothing every works out in that spot, it’s cursed, the fountain of nations never worked right neither will those ground lights.
