So Disney is understaffed?

No, it's apples and oranges.

There's a ton of teams and workers at EU all working simultaneously. They sure are building a whole park at once, because they have multiple construction crews working on several projects in parallel.

I absolutely hate the Universal vs. Disney fan war cause its dumb and tribalistic.

With that being said, Universal is a lot better managing their time with construction projects. Future world is taking forever to be built when other Universal projects have been built in less time. I accepted the slowness of the project when COVID hit but it's 2023, Disney is past that.
Incorrect. The WDC has not yet recovered their financial losses from the pandemic.

I’m confused more than ever what CommuniCore hall is… the Inside Out “display” almost makes it seem like there will be interactive elements that could harken back the old days of Innoventions. But the rest look like photo ops with art displays?

Is it just a place to get in the AC on a hot summer day?

I assume the intended function hasn't changed much from when it was the Festival Center. Pretty sure it was always billed as food, beverage, and exhibition space, just with meet and greets tacked on since those were supposed to be in PLAY!

Seems like it. Possibly rotate displays to whatever festival is going on and synergy machine opportunities as well.

IT BETTER BE AIR CONDITIONED!! ;) CommuniCore hall is an afterthought, park design on the fly, something to fit the space.

I love the name and it's not the worst thing to happen in this EPCOT renovation - I am looking at you Moana! 👀

Is it just me or does this concept art look suspiciously like part of the building they tore down but with the windows on the right side covered like what they did when Innoventions moved into Communicore?

Down to the open view in the back (like the other one had) pointing to World Showcase to the portal-like skylight-lighting on top this looks like they either paid to tear down and at least partially rebuild what was already there, roughly to the same scale or like this concpet art comes from a point when they were actually considering renovating that previous space.

There were many people that have stated It smelled like sewage in Innoventions East hallway...But, if you ask me if you were guzzling that sewage know as Starbucks than you pretty darn sure why it stank in there..

I kinda like it? Really feels like a natural progression of the Communicore "formula" in terms of how the exhibition space is set up / used. I feel like if we can't have a constantly rotating exhibit of futuristic technology in the park that this is the next best thing.

I was also pleasantly surprised by the design of the building itself. I was really worried that triangular pattern was just going to be a decal slapped onto the side of the building when they first released concept art so I was happy to see they actually did something interesting with the exterior. The inside feels like a "deconstructed" version of the original Communicore. When I picture a modern EPCOT, this is the kind of stuff I like to see, architecturally speaking.

I was going to say that interior shot looks almost exactly the same as the building they tore down.

It’s really terrible how they spent so much time and money on the center of the park, yet never had an actual concept for what it should be. This is all permanent filler.

The Figment statue is interactive, too. When a five year old jumps up to hang from the tail, it comes right off!
