3 that may be spoken for. Time will tell ;)

Ratatouille: The Adventure

Shrink down to the size of Remy and duck, dive, dodge and scurry to safety in a dazzling chase across a gigantic kitchen.

Not that I know of.

When you said that the pad between France and Morocco may be spoken for, I jumped to the obvious conclusion. If it is not earmarked for a France pavilion expansion, then I hope it will be used for more than added restrooms or a DVC kiosk.

2 The area. There are a few unconnected proposals that may change the appearance.
I'm very interested in this. When in the park and walking between pavilions, there does seem to be a pretty big gap between UK and France. After looking at a bird's eye view of that area on Google maps, it looks like they would have a bit of area to work with if they rethought the layout of the gateway and moved some of the backlot roads as well.

I'm just hoping whatever they do (if anything), it's more substantial than just more meet & greets.

If we're going ip then please make this a Marry Poppins attraction in the UK pavilion.

Funny you should mention. Just down the road at DHS... (sigh)
It's a shame poppins didn't have a bigger representation than what it had in GMR. It only had a very quick scene that you really don't stop at to admire or have any sort of interaction. I'm kind of surprised that it's not going to have any representation in the parks after it closes

You mean aside from meet & greets at Magic Kingdom and Epcot, and her own character breakfast at the Grand Floridian?

Yes, I think it was for Adventure Thru Inner Space in Disneyland if I am not mistaken.
Alien encounter was actually designed originally for Disneyland. It was designed to fit the building being used at the time by Mission to Mars. The attraction was then considered for Walt Disney World. Due to delays in construction at Dsneyland because of infighting it got built faster in WDW.
I remembered reading that WDW handled the opening a bit careless and the attraction opened with complains about not enough info given and attraction being to frightening for younger children.

I miss alien encounter, it was such a great innovative and simple attraction that really worked quite well. Almost wished it had been built in Anaheim. Even hoped it would be revived for DCA when they were considering Armageddon for the backlot area.

Well this thread has some life once again, and it's not just GotG nonsense! Many thanks for sharing what you can @marni1971!

Not to waste too much time with armchair imagineering, but I'd love the idea to see more space dedicated to the Future World theme concepts (communication, energy, future living, etc.), but with added cultural space in Communicore that Disney could use for outreach to local arts, tech, and academic communities. Like, maybe a room for ensemble musical performances by local or college orchestras, or a scientific concept demonstration space, or a forum room for academic presentations or debates, with each visitor for each purpose wearing a name tag with a corresponding pavilion logo. Here for the discussion of alternative fuels? Here's your Energy pavilion name tag. Performing with the chamber group? Here's your Imagination (for the arts) logo. Discussing new city layouts for future planning concepts? Horizons logo, etc.

Again, blue sky, but it'd be great for those buildings to actually have a purpose, and keeping a strong relationship with local schools, artistic groups, and the like could ensure that they'd actually get used and not grow obsolete as quickly as Innoventions did.

To be fair, Disney does do the music performances for school orchestras and marching bands. But completely agree with you on having some kind of sustained outreach and partnership with other groups to display new ideas and host talks. I've said previously that, in many respects, Epcot would greatly benefit from being run like a musuem, right down to having a curator overseeing exhibits, acquisitions and partnerships. While that sounds counterintuitive on the surface (think of all the cries of "Disney isn't a musuem!!!") I don't see why it couldn't work.

It fits right into the spirit and purpose of EPCOT Center and would be a relatively easy way to keep the park feeling fresh; just change out exhibits on a rotating basis. The Innoventions buildings (which can be readily enlarged) are just begging for this kind of large scale approach. And there's the potential for massive upside - play the cards right and in 5-10 years Epcot (and thus Disney) could become known as one of "the" places to go to see future tech and learn about new ideas. What begins as a space filler could be transformed into a legitimate research institution, one that happens to be connected to the third most-visited theme park in the US.

You'd think that given the sorry state of the park that they would give this concept a go just for the heck of it. But that would require thinking a bit outside-the-box, which is a foreign concept in today's Disney.
