Good to see whatever they were trying to do is wrapping up. In my opinion, its not how I would have spent the money, but then again, I would not have spent the hundreds of millions of dollars they do in their movie business either.

Am I the only one who thought the thing in the middle would’ve been a fountain and not just plants?
EVERYONE thinks that! It is a completely natural place for one... the promotional display planter was a bad choice in my opinion...And what an unfortunate angle that resembles something....

Didn't someone say the outer ring was going to be a water feature? Maybe they are just standing the plants in there for staging until it goes active?

No water feature planned as far as I know.

What are you talking about?? We must not be looking at the same pictures because I’ve seen at least a dozen different areas to sit, there are benches and tables in almost every corner.
Honestly, that's all I see. Haha.
Benches and places to sit are great but why am I sitting there?
Benches are popular along parade routes...near eateries...near attractions...near something to relax and look at.

I don't understand why I'm stopping at any of these sitting places.

Trying to hold judgement until I see it complete and in person but it's difficult when we've been waiting this long.

Sad to hear...I had a little hope that more was planned... It is another design miss. The plaza really needs the sound of water. I remember The Magic Kingdom back in the early 70s...there were fountains everywhere it seemed...Most have now been turned into planters or just turned off... The kinetic play of water add way more than the sum of it's parts to the atmosphere...

You remember what was there before, right?

The lack of this being a water feature is the only negative I have about the entire re-do.
Otherwise, I really like it all.
It got rid of the cold, dystopian look that Epcot had become - and brought us nature, shade, places to sit...
All things so many people lamented had been lost in Epcot.

This is an under-remarked feature of water... features. They can create a persistent amount of white noise that can suck up a lot of errant and overstimulating sounds that also are in the environment.
