What are the flat-roofed extensions for? Right out into the middle behind SSE? Just extra shade or is something to be specifically located under those?

OK. Next one that has me stumped. Just never gotten around to ask. Looking at that whole tree-filled area, after sunset World Celebration is gonna be really, especially when those new plantings start maturing. Has anything been said in the plans about lighting this area?

One has to assume lights in most of the planters surrounding the area, but most notably it's been announced that the 5-ring EPCOT logo at center will be its own lighting element in the ground.

My Own Speculation: this interior area will also be a fine place to watch any Spaceship Earth lighting shows once it opens.

When they put the FOUNTAIN back into the plans, there will be more lighting as well!

[the preceding was completely wishful thinking not based in reality at all, but hopefully someone with some "say" reads it and decides to follow my advice]

Some easily missable things to note from these aerials aside from the obvious paving and planting progress:
  1. It looks like they're prepping the service building adjacent to Journey of Water for decorative paneling.
  2. Another backstage construction wall has appeared to the left of the World Nature restrooms, suggesting they do indeed intend to re-open them soon.
  3. They seem to be re-sealing the roof of Project Tomorrow.

But you're getting a beautiful small planter in the center. Why would you want a fountain?

More sincerely, instead of the incredibly poorly conceived Moana thing, perhaps they could have added some water features to the central area.

Water in the central core seems to be vital...the promotions planter is a lousy idea.... The sound of water and the visual would do a lot to cool off the central plaza...Seems like a no-brainer, but here we are with a Moana water thing on one side and a Promotions Planter in the center... boo.

The stream I found today sadly only had the briefest of glimpses of anything construction-related, but it looks like they're currently installing vertical slats over the metal brackets that were added to the support building along the pathway toward The Land at the end of last week. Unsure from this distance if it's framing or decorative.
