The first thing you see after leaving Spaceship Earth is Walt’s statue and the wishing tree. Moana is on the right.

Again, I am not saying the hub is good, I don’t have an opinion on it till I have seen it. I am just saying that the Moana whatever you want to call it is not in the hub.
the exit doors from Spaceship Earth are on the left and right sides of the attraction...not straight back... So if you pass by Spaceship Earth or exit on the right, first thing you will see is Moana Journey Of Water Splash Pad. Passing by on the other side I have no idea what you will see... The Wishing Tree and Statue of Walt was to be in the center... Maybe they will build a Groot Journey of Dirt play area leading to Guardians Of The Galaxy to balance it...

Aren’t they changing the exit for Spaceship Earth eventually? Not sure if this is right if that is the case.

Again, I don’t mean to sound defensive or anything. Just asking.
There has been no announcement of that at this point...they are doing nothing to it for the foreseeable future...

They were. Now possibly not. Depends what comes from the re refurb.

Gotcha, I was under the assumption that SSE was still going to go ahead eventually with the original plan.

That now changes things. I understand what you mean @Bocabear. Still, I am at least interested to see what this area entails.

Because, it is better then a bunch of empty buildings. I don’t mean to say that as a dig at them I just really think that a bunch of trees and plants plus some light Moana theming and water. Is better then buildings I never cared for in the first place.

That's the current exits for Spaceship Earth. If they're modified as planned they'll be in the very back of a new building that takes up some of Project Tomorrow's footprint.

I’ll probably take some flack for this but Spaceship Earth needs to go down for a refurb. I really like the attraction, message, and all that.

It simply needs a refresh not an reinvention of the wheel. The touchscreens are tacky and old. The track needs a refresh, The AA’s could be made better, the decent could be MUCH better, the exit needs a change etc. I was in total support of the proposed update.

The blame for that lies squarely with the company. Then use the cheapest possible band aid to try and fix it.

That’s without the whole IP argument.
You can be very well be right here. Since I don’t know what they were going to do with the buildings if they kept them. To be honest, they always were a nuance when I was trying to get from one end of Future World to the other.

Old fixed world boundaries diagram I made (won't let me upload the source image here). Granted Moana doesn't take up that massive of a footprint I gave it, but for general representation it works. Whether or not it's part of the hub depends on what the hub ends up being. By the old footprint, yes it is. But the "hub" is essentially destroyed with it's addition so who knows.

Like you said, the whole neighborhood thing for me, isn’t a bad idea. It’s the execution a similar debate happened with the awkward placement of Imagination.

Well I thought Communicore at least contained some attractions, but I’m humbled to learn I was wrong.
It did...a very long time ago. I’m afraid in recent years these “attractions’ where nuances.

You could make an exception for Sum of all Thrills (which I didn’t experience) but that is about it. Everything else was tacky.

I believe that was Innoventions.
