The stuff you claim to not like is still going to be there.
Yes, I know. I've been to Alberqueue and I had just seen a photo on a site that cannot be named of the work over at the Centorium and it sparked this memory and apt comparison. The stuff you claim to not like is still going to be there.
It’s made of concrete and the CommuniCore is finished with cement plaster, so they both used cement. It curves.
That’s it. Hardly apt.
I mean... it's not like MouseGear was exactly a thematic pinnacle. I expect they'll be going for a Centorium vibe with character touches. Cash on the retro while making it "more Disney"This store is going to be as uninspired and magicless as the new World of Disney and basically every new store/restaurant/hotel, right?
May as well get rid of that damn castle too since it’s “obstructive”.View attachment 528700

I mean, it's not tacos but still...
I had wonderful lunches at the Stargate Restaurant. This wasn't because it was a good restaurant or served good food. But I was at my favorite place on earth and therefore the experience was elevated. I have fond memories of Communicore. But I'd no more laud the genius of front-loading the park with a series of post-shows and corporate advertisements housed in a massive and obstructive convention center than call the Stargate food exceptionally good cuisine.
There is a very small crew working on the center right now, so unless it picks up considerably, it is going to be a while. Priority right now appears to be on the merchandise space, but even that is moving relatively slowly.Do we have any timeline on the center? Dreamers point, Journey of Water?
2023. Pre Covid.Do we have any timeline on the center? Dreamers point, Journey of Water?
Woah.2023. Pre Covid.
Maybe they’ll change their mind before then (as if)
Nope. Possibly a few mil swaying in the wind.Woah.
While I have you here has spaceship earth seen any movement at all? Since the pause.
As always, thanks Marni!Nope. Possibly a few mil swaying in the wind.
Weird how Disney was going to destroy a park at the same time Universal was to build a park.2023. Pre Covid.

My how things change.Weird how Disney was going to destroy a park at the same time Universal was to build a park.
For now nothing else will be added besides Moana and Dreamers Point. So the giant barstool is gone but Moana and dreamers point are still a go? Any plans to add anything more to Future World?
I'm a weirdo that never really cared for the MouseGear name so I was hoping they would name it something else. I am looking forward to the refreshed building though.New Central Gift Shop should be ready for summer. Very recently, for the first time in a while, I heard the new gift shop may be keeping the MouseGear name, but for the longest time, I had been told we were getting a relatively new name.
