News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

At this point Future World will just be what it is now with planters to fill up the dead space in the middle. I can't imagine they'd spend much more than that. Honestly what they have planned, other than GotG, isn't going to really draw people in. GotG is going to get all the money and thats it. Got to get a return on their investment.

I’ve mentioned this before, but if they continue with the Play pavilion, a significant amount of the work they had planned would be finished. Apart from minor cosmetic changes/landscaping, World Discovery has all the components lined up and would be near complete.

I feel like it will happen...just to a much lesser extent. If I’m a betting man here is what I see happening.

Journey of Water- Budget has gone to Splash (according to others on forum)

“Bar in the sky”- Budget has gone to Splash (according to others on forum)

Guardians- Still ON (just delayed)

Rat- Still ON (basically finished)

HarmoniUS- Still ON (just delayed)

Spaceship Earth- In flux but since it’s so needed I would say still ON (just delayed)

Play!- Not really sure (considering so much work has been done going with ON)

Entrance Work- Still ON (basically finished)

Dreamers Point- ? They still have to fill the crater with something

So basically the only stuff that has been canceled for Splash is Moana, the new festival center, and Mary Poppins? Honestly that's not too bad. Those additions were kinda lame. Plus I hope the Princess and the Frog ride is truly great with lots of AA's and some really great scenes.

Oh, I don’t have any insider info. I was just inferring based on what has been said and what has be done in Epcot.

There aren’t any however insiders have mentioned many times budgets have been slashed for splash (that rhymes). If we use process of elimination they seem logical targets.

I thought I had read somewhere that Journey Of Water and the Cocktail Table building thing had already been mothballed before Covid hit...but not sure that was accurate... I have been watching for confirmation

I have always felt a Ferris Wheel and/or a Carousel would be great on the Boardwalk.

A couple of Carousels would be great where the festival center was going to be located - added capacity

So we know for sure these cuts are going to the splash disaster? If your going to give in and destroy the best ride then at least give it a new budget not short change everything else.
