Okay folks..Next Tuesday at 9/8 central Big Brother 9 begins..:sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:

Here is the link for the houseguests with pictures..

http://www.tvguide.com/PhotoGallery/Big_Brother_9_Cast_Revealed__1094/1.aspx

Supposedly the theme is "Til Death Do You Part"
Also something about Soulmates..

I am getting from this that they are putting people in the house who are together as couples and to see if they can last...

This is what I am reading from www.thebigbrothersite.com

So this is not a definite yet...

Also..Since many of us have The Showtime after Dark and The 24/7 internet access to the show..Should we make a seperate "Spoiler Thread" for the people who want to discuss what they see?

I know that we can find out who is HOH and who gets Veto before the show airs and that some people do not want to know what happens till they see it but some do..."Harry"..;)

So just let me know what you think...:)

Can you tell I am a little bit excited over this?:lookaroun

Hmmmm....they're all really young this time around. All under 30. I hope they don't turn it into The Real World.

Edit: Nevermind, there's ONE houseguest over 30.

All couples? That means they're hoping for undercover activites - all the time!!

I'm a little disappointed by that one.

But will it keep me from watching!! Absolutely not!:D

Dana I LOVE your enthusiasm and excitement over this! You're so cute!

A 27-year old college student...?

Does anyone else just think that one day or another, with as many reality shows that are on TV, you'll see someone you grew up or went to school with on one, acting like an idiot...?
DH was on MTV's Made back when he was in college--before I knew him. But I swear, one day I'll see my crush from the fourth grade doing something stupid on one of these shows!

I found this:

CBS has provided more information which makes this sound a bit more interesting. Apparently none of these houseguests have met before. They were matched based on an e-Harmony style profiling (no idea what system they really used and I’m sure it wasn’t e-Harmony, that’s just an example). They won’t know who their match is until they’ve entered the house. At that point they’ll be locked at the hip, not literally of course. They’ll have to sleep together, literally this time, share power together, get nominated together, and even face eviction together. Yikes.

Here’s the official PR blurb from CBS with the details I just mentioned:
This season marks other BIG BROTHER firsts, including the first-ever all-single cast and the most Houseguests in BIG BROTHER history.

When this group of 16 singles enters the house, they will be told they are being matched up with their “soul mate,” a stranger who may prove to be their true love or their worst nightmare. Whether there is a love connection or not, once paired up, the Houseguests’ life in the game depends on their partner. They must strategize, plot and scheme together as a couple for a chance at the prize. These “lovebirds” will live together as a couple meaning they will sleep in the same bed, hold Head of Household as a couple, be nominated for eviction as a pair, and if the time comes, say their goodbyes together upon eviction.

Forget part of that first paragraph (someone's editorial writings) I posted above. Someone alerted me to the fact that Jen and Ryan must know each other.

That sounds like a really exciting twist. I can't wait to watch. My DVR is all fired up and ready to go!

Mine too! Did anyone else have problem with tivo conflicts that night? I have American idol, biggest loser and big brother all at the same time!! I have to figure out what to cancel!

Not old, just vintage.

I bailed on Biggest Loser. I haven't been watching this season because I just never got interested in these folks so it is no big loss to cancel that recording. I hate when I have 3 things I want to record at once! If it is a show on Showtime or HBO I will usually end up recording one of the re-runs at 2am or something but that doesn't work with network TV! :(

I think I'll have to cancel Biggest Loser too. The problem is the kids love Biggest Loser. I guess I'm really hoping we're home that night and I can watch the third thing not recording on another TV. I watch way too much reality TV!!

OT here, but has anybody tried eHarmony (and would admit to it)? My friends are trying to get me to date again but they all are married and have no single friends

A friend of a friend tried it and met his wife on it. :o They were in their mid- to late-20s when they signed up for it. I've heard only good things from people I know who have tried it, though I only know a handful of people that have.
