I think this area as a whole would do wonders for capacity. I remember working in Frontierland, and by time 6pm hit most nights, the land started to die. Very few people want to ride a flume post sunset, and most people do BTMRR at the same time as Splash. Having Coco and Encanto back there would absolutely draw more people to this section of the park all day long, and would go a long way to make the park feel more balanced. Figures the thing I'm most excited for after the expo is the one that's least likely to happen.

I don't know, i feel like additions to MK would add capacity but just steal guests from the other parks.

We rode Splash at DLR at night in the summer...wow, freezing after.

How? The number of tickets sold is the same. Now you spread people out. The people who can't get a MK reservation go to EPCOT, etc.
Because it will be the new cool thing? Park reservations are rarely unavailable.. I mean they could force them to go to other parks but that is really scummy.. Forcing me to order a bologna sandwich when I am at the same restaurant paying as much as people ordering lobster?

Frankly, we need a Captain Hook ride if only to try and reduce Peter Pan's wait times.
How cool would it be if they completely mirrored Fantasyland for the new villains land, copying all the rides but make them evil in a Dark Fantasyland. Like an upside-down Fantasyland. Buildings all dark and delipidated. Captain Hook’s Night, It‘s a Creepy-Crawly World, Disenchanted Tales with Beast, Seven Villains Mine Train, etc. That would help with capacity.

If Disney is just going to force people to go to the park they want them to using the reservation system anyway, why does it matter which park they add new attractions/capacity to?

The reasons it matters are (a) reservations don’t fill up for every park every day and (b) the number of reservations Disney makes available for a given park is at least somewhat impacted by demand

The stories are definitely fantasy so that makes sense. I still maintain that there are just enough geographic/climatic similarities between Big Thunder and Coco/Mexico to make the visual and thematic transition work. The same can be said of the relationship and transition between Coco/Mexico and Encanto/Colombia. Its really no different than how Frontierland progresses through time and American sub cultures as you walk from Haunted Mansion (colonial New England) to Big Thunder (turn of the century American Southwest). Or how Caribbean Plaza transitions into Frontierland.

Yes, I think it is fair to say it is silly to find hatred in a transition or segue thematically from one to the other as you point out lands do that so they can take you somewhere very different without anything being jarring.

As far as an expansion of Fantasyland, I don't think that is marketable enough for Disney since they just had a Fantasyland Expansion/New Fantasyland. Either way, the Beyond Big Thunder name is too much of an internal name gone public. It is just saying how Big Thunder has always been a dead end. It does not say much about the actual theme.

I see Encanto as being a Mystic Manor ride. That house being alive is the most iconic element. There is an experience since the movie's story itself did not have much theme park translated conflict.

I will go in the unpopular opinion that Villain's is always a fun fan thought but, Villians only work in stories when there is a good vs evil. If the focus was truly just on villians, the novelty wears off fast. They are often the strongest part of a story to enhance the protoganist and conflict, not a story in itself.

People complain all the time that they can't decide on Friday to go to the parks on Saturday. If that's the case, MK sells out.

"The restaurant is full, so go next door to our patio for take out." Now we have your money, and the main restaurant is comfortable.

Serious question with all this hilarity mixed in between…. Is Dinosaur getting rethemed to Zootopia ride or is it getting demolished and something new for Zootopia is in the works?

The Blue Sky plan is to retheme Dinosaur to Zootopia, not build a new Zootopia ride.

Thankfully, it will probably never happen.

There are too many people inside a confined space. Make the space bigger, but keep the same number of people, and there is now space.

The reservation system allows them to see if a park is low in sales. They can lower the prices, create an event, or reduce reservations at one park to move them to another. If MK is sold out, are you going to sit in your room, or go to EPCOT? It also allows them to determine staffing...EPCOT is low on attendance today, so move that staff to MK.

I think most attractions would have to consist of villain ensembles. Selfishly, I think a "sea villain" attraction utilizing some of the Shanghai Pirates tech would be killer. Include characters like Hook, Monstro, Ursula, Tamatoa, the 20k squid, etc. I can't help but think of Ursula raising the shipwrecks with Triton's trident whenever I see the similar sequence in PotC.

We will more than likely get a spinner with 8 arms... Who cares about the green one down the road...ours will be purple and black!
