Best way to see MK in a day?

Hey all,

I leave for a fantabulous trip to the World tomorrow (with my marching band--yes, it is as crazy as it sounds).

Knowing full well that Space Mountain will be closed, should I begin my day at Splash Mountain and work my day starting over there, or should I continue my touring plan (which has worked wonderfully) and start at Buzz to Pooh to Snow to Small etc. Mansion, then on to Frontierland and Adventureland.

So what is the best way to see the Magic Kingdom in a day?

Thanks!:)

Well, we always start in Adventureland and work our way around. But we always make sure to get FP for Splash, Space, etc.

I also always start in Adventureland, although I think it is more of a habit than a sound strategy. We get a FP for Splash and then head to Pirates and Adventureland, and then work our way around clockwise.

I would start with Splash Mountain, then Big Thunder. Those will fill up quick. Then get a fastpass for one, so you can come back later.

Of course everyone has a different philosphy and there are many factors (crowds, time of day, etc.)...my family likes heading straight to TomorrowLand and then working counter-clockwise. Taking time down Main St. on the way out. If you are talking about getting into the MK when the gates open and leaving when the gates close you can definitely bounce around (again, crowds can play a big factor)....but that'll make for a mighty long day, especially with kids !! :ROFLOL:Enjoy !!

I always start early in the morning in Frontierland BTMRR & Splash Mt., I make sure to get Fastpasses for BTMRR for later then I head to Adventureland for JC and POTC. Onward to Liberty Square for Lunch at Colombia Harbour House - off HM then I use my fastpass for BTMRR. Next I head to Fantasyland and try to do everything, then to Tomorrowland.
For some reason I always seem to get everything done on my list and then some. Now that almost everything is closed in Tomorrowland and the invasion of Stitch it looks like I may spend some more time in Adventure and Fantasyland.

My method when I'm trying to get all the rides in in one day is to get there early, and bear to the left. I used to always head to Tomorrowland, but then I learned that most people head toward the right. The theory is that since most people are right handed, they go in & start at their right.

From what I can tell, heading to the left has always proven to have less crowds. But maybe that's just in my head. I enjoy my trips when I'm not trying to get tons of riding done. In that case, I browse main street and hunt for little secret type things throughout the park.

If you like Splash, I agree with the others. Head left and knock out Splash and BTMR early. (Be sure to go on BTMR again at night because it's a completely different experience). Head to Fantasy Land and collect a FastPass for Peter Pan, and see the other FL Dark Ride attractions before it gets crazy. (We only go if it's a slow day, but if you haven't seen them they are pretty cool). Save the Jungle Cruise for late night because it's never crowded at night, or use a fastpass because the waits during the day are MURDER. Then take your time and see what you want at your own pace. Except on the busiest of days everything else moves pretty smoothly.

We always begin in Adventureland, with the Pirates and then work our way around, riding on or passing up rides and shows as we come to them.:)

If I were you (I wish I was...I want to go now!) I'd get a fastpass for Splash and then go to Fantasyland and knock out whatever you want to do there. Then when you can, get a fastpass for BTMR and do whatever else you want. Have a great time!

Get there at rope drop and hit all the Fantasyland attractions first. Especially Peter Pan. Wait times there as the day goes on gets ridiculous.

dont forget to take some time to stroll main street. everyone usually does at night so beat the crowds by visiting in early morning prior to parades

with space being down...splash and thunder mountain should be pretty crowded. i'd grab fastpasses for each early on in the day

if you don't mind missing "wishes" then thats a great opportunity to ride some big time rides. i walked on splash last march and didnt even have a full log due to Wishes. and actually you get some pretty amazing views from the top of the mountain.

there was also no wait for JC or pirates.

if you've seen the show before...it's worth maybe missing it for some good opportunities.

have a great trip!
