Magic Kingdom - Casey's Corner serves decent hot dogs. Columbia Harbor House serves decent chicken and fish. You can't get a decent burger and fries anymore in the Magic Kingdom. Main Street Bakery serves the best cinnamon rolls I have ever had.

Epcot - Krnigala in Norway has good snacks. I usually pass on CS options while at Epcot. Too many good sit down choices.

Disney fast food, in my opinion, has taken an absolute nose dive in recent years. They changed the burgers and fries. They tried to make them healthier. If I want healthy, I'll order healthy. If I want a burger and fries, I want a burger and fries.

Hollywood Studios - Fairfax Fare
Fairfax Salad - chopped romaine, chili, tomato, roasted corn, sweet peppers, Monterey Jack, and corn tortillas, served with a jalapeno ranch dressing $7.79

It was pretty good for fast food salad.

I keep seeing all these posts about bland burgers that are cafeteria style food - while Disney had a chef go through and introduce new original burgers that are all delicious and unique thought the parks.

You can put a dress on a pig, and it's still a pig.

You can put all the toppings and sauces you want on a burger, but if you start with the same run of the mill cooked to death patty, well it's still a pig.

Really, it is not Disney's fault. Hamburger patties are inherently bacteria breeding grounds. Steaks can be cooked rare, because any contamination is going to be on the OUTSIDE, thus in the area of high heat, which will kill them.

With hamburger, the OUTSIDE becomes the INSIDE. Any contamination is now INSIDE the meat, and if you cook it rare, it will remain alive inside.

This is why many places insist on cooking hamburgers to death. Disney does the same thing.

If you are going to 'risk' serving rare hamburger to your guests, you need to be sure your hamburger meat is clean (not an easy task when you buy patties in the 100,000's per week) and your food handling procedures are correct and followed (not an easy task when you have 50+ service locations, staffed by a workforce that may or may not be transistional).

Short story. Disney overcooks (for good reason) every hamburger it serves and no amount of fancy sauce or gee whiz condiments is going to correct that.

Every so often you do get one that is not too bad. Cooked beyond my liking, but not overcooked. Those are rare happy moments indeed.

I agree that most burgers are not very good, not bad, but not great, but I did have an excellent burger at Le Cellier a few years back with blue cheese on it. Pizza is tough. There is so much good pizza in some home towns that you will usually be disappointed when traveling.

The overall winner is, hands down, Sunshine Seasons at Epcot.

MK is tough, because I try to avoid fried foods, which means I'm heading over to get a noodle bowl. The problem is, that's not really healthy, either, give the high MSG counts. Honestly, if you're looking for a decent table service meal at MK, take a ride on the monorail to the Contemporary or Polynesian and eat at the Contemp Cafe or Captain Cooks. More choices, and not everything there is deep fried.

I don't eat CS meals at DHS because the quality is so awful. Either have a snack (I recommend the frozen lemonades) or go hungry. The dining options for that park are hellacious.

At DAK, I like the CS window at Yak and Yeti, and of course Flame Tree is good.

MK-Cosmic Ray's. Biggest selection plus an awesome toppings bar.

Epcot-Sunshine Seasons. Amazing food and another great selection.

HS-Starring Rolls on their dessert options alone.

AK-Flame Tree BBQ or Yak & Yeti. Both delicious.

But all time favorite counter service goes to Wolfgang Puck in DTD. Absolutely hands down the best option for counter service anywhere. Plus you get served and have so many options to choose from.

A few years ago, my answer would be an emphatic "Tusker House" at AK. But now it's a full-service buffet. Not a bad one, but I really enjoyed it as a QS. The rotisserie chicken was IMHO a great value and delicious through and through.

Now, probably a tossup between Sunshine Seasons in Epcot and Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD. I've probably too many times already, but when we stay at SSR, we ask for Congress Park section, and in the mornings, if we're having more than just a bagel, we'll avoid Artists' Palette and walk to WPE on the Marketplace side for our breakfast. Great Breakfast Pita Pocket for me, and Frosted Flake covered French Toast for Slappette. It's a QS credit, but you place an order at the counter, find a seat and they deliver to your table, check on you and refresh beverages. And they'll crate "to go" orders to bring back to your room if you prefer. You can even call ahead & it'll be ready for you when you get there.

I was glad they kept the same rotisserie chicken on the buffet at Tusker House.

MK - Columbia Harbour House or Cosmic Rays: I used to be a fan of Caseys but it just wasn't as good the last couple of trips

Epcot - Going against the grain here, I don't at all care for Sunshine Seasons; it was a favorite in the 90's but I've been less than impressed in my recent visits - my pic is a brat from Sommerfest in Germany

MGM - sorry, I just don't go there; it's either TS or a snack until I can find something to eat

AK - Yak & Yeti counter service; I really like the Honey chicken

DTD - Wolfgang Puck Express; I've enjoyed everything that I've tried there

For us, its as follows:
MK cosmic rays, it is the topping bar and the view of the castle from outside

AK yak n yeti, but we use snacks here, fried rice and egg rolls, plus go down to the river for a quiet lunch, used to be old smoking section.

DHS no favorite here, maybe backlot express

EPCOT had a really great QS at tangerine cafe and lotus cafe

As for resorts, its a toss up between all of the deluxe resorts on the monorail. Contempo cafe was wonderful.
, as well as Grand floridian QS.

Just try everything and make opinions from there. Everyone has different likes.
