Best park Opening....???

I don't believe I have seen this on here before.
Just want your opinions about what park has the best opening.

My ranking goes like this...

1 Animal kingdom. There is just something I really enjoy about being
at AK when it first opens. The fresh air. The Mickey safari truck.

2 MK. It's the classic and I guess most elaborate (b/c it's MK).
I got to witness this for the first time last week. It was really cool.
Loved the whole train .

3 Epcot it is my favorite park but doesn't really have the "show"
spectacular, but still good.

AND last but not least. Hollywood Studios. About the same as EPCOT, but I like EPCOT (the park as a whole) better, if that makes sense.

I guess it could all come down to what park you most like to start you day.

I would say MK. One of the last things Roy Disney did to dedicate the park to Walt.

MK all the way for me! There's just something about being there first, it's all quiet, you can hear the music playing on Main Street. Just looking down an empty Main Street, knowing that you have a whole day ahead of you. And the smell - fake or not - just of the MK. The whole quest of getting to THE ride first, which last time was Buzz Lightyear.

My favorite by far is Magic Kingdom. It brings a tear to my eye every time, even watching it on youtube. :lol: There is something special about being there and seeing it in person that is just so moving. I just love it.

I also love Animal Kingdom too when it opens. The truck is so cute and I love the music.

I think Epcot & DHS should step it up a little.:lol:

I have to say, the Magic Kingdom is number one by far. I love the elaborate show, the train arrival, the pixie dust, the countdown, I love it all.

Of course, my favorite part is racing down Main Street to the E-tickets. Last time when I was the first to arrive at Space Mountain, I got a special reward. Before the park opened, a cast member had been testing the SM fastpass machines. When I arrived, I found 3 fastpasses just sitting on top of a FP machine (I was the first to arrive, and the time that the FPs were issued was 7:35, so I know I wasn't stealing from anyone). Even though I haven't won anything during YOAMD, 3 SM fastpasses was still a nice prize!

I've only been to MK and AK park openings. The MK makes me cry everytime. Usually it's just my overwhelming emotion of the start of a trip and the excitement of the family who gets to open the park. I always wear my sunglasses because my husband would never let me live it down if he knew I was crying. Then I love sitting on the curb eating my breakfast from the bakery and watching everyone trek up Main Street to start their day.

The best one currently would go to MK. The best one of all time would be the Epcot opening during the Millennium Celebration.

I always wear my sunglasses because my husband would never let me live it down if he knew I was crying.

I do the same thing! But my husband always trys to videotape me crying!:hammer:
The MK is the only opening ceremony we have seen, but I am quite certain it would be my favorite by far even if I had seen the others. It does not matter how many times I've see it....I get chills everytime.
And just like wdwmomof3, I also cry watching it on youtube!

Since I have only seen the MK one that is what I vote for. I really enjoyed the opening and would love to see more but to get there early enough for it is hard. take me a while to get up and going in the morning.

Magic Kingdom, hands down.

Before I was addicted to all things WDW, I made a visit from NY in 2003.
I had only been once before, for 4 days in 1992.

The first thing I saw, after taking the monorail to the MK was something I didn't know about, the MK opening show.

I now live in Florida, and this is my 2nd year with an AP.
