Ohh!!! I've never had steak at WDW (that I remember anyway). But, this year we're going to Le Cellier in Canada and I hear the steak is amazing! I cannot wait!! :slurp: I'm a Nebraska girl, so I do have pretty high standards for steak. Hopefully it lives up to my expectations ;)

We're also going to Teppan Edo, which I think has steak, and I'm so excited to try it too! This is the year of new dining experiences for us because we're also going to Les Chefs de France and I haven't eaten there since I was like 12!!! And I remember asked for Italian dressing and the waiter looking at me with a look of disgust and saying "Miss...we do not have ITALIAN dressing! This is France!" :-) So funny!

Well I'm not exactly the most experienced when it comes to steak on Disney property, but I love this thread and have been enjoying participating so I'll keep going.

By default, Wolfgang's. I had the strip there and it was delicious, although the service left a lot to be desired. My only other steak on property was at Tony's Town Square so between the two, Wolfgang won out easily.

I'd love to try Yachtsman's, V&A, or Le Cellier though, we've never been. Hopefully next trip!

My personal favorite is The Turf Club Bar and Grill. It is a small place in Saratoga Springs, but they have an amazing New York Strip.

Enjoyed the Grilled Sirlion at the Rose and Crown in EPCOT a couple of weeks ago. It was melt in your mouth tender. Dinner Reservation was late enough to enjoy dessert while watching Illuminations.

Well I do hope you enjoy Le Cellier and their signature fillet better than we did.The most disappointing meal of our five ADRS.Also having worked as a chef in Montreal back in 1974[god,iam getting old] If this was my signature dish,I would be looking for a new job by the end of the week.Hopefully we just landed on the chefs bad night.:hammer:

So it should be!

It was amazing!

At these prices it should be marinated in pixie dust and served with a wand of cavier, was it the famous japanese wagyu steak. That famous beast,is to Japan, what sicilian Parma ham is to Italy.:ROFLOL:Don't get wrong,I love to go overboard now and again when it comes to food but iam afraid Vicky and Berts is way over my limits, unless I win the lottery this week.

The sad part is, after we did this my wife started a job in the Hyatt Regeancy Grand Cyprus (just outside the gates near DTD). She started bringing me home Kobe steak wrapped in the most wonderful thick bacon and it was crusted in some cheese. At least 2-3 times a week. Life was good!!

She's a chef and responsible for the extra 35lbs I carry around every day.

Good morning today's topic merchandise shops.

What is the best merch shop in WDW?

I love Mousegears!

This is such a good topic for me... Normally, it's just not in my nature to shop.. I let the wife handle shopping, outside of groceries. I just don't enjoy shopping for clothes or anything of that nature.

That being said, when it comes to Disney shopping, I'm totally hooked..I can't get enough, and i spend plenty of time in our local Disney Store!

For me, Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in MK. Something about the location, the atmosphere, the merchandise, I'm hooked. I must shop about 4 or 5 different things back home from this shop alone.

Honorable mention to Mousegears and World Of Disney for their sheer size and scope of what they sell.

I LOVE Mickey's Pantry in DTD. I will admit that World of DIsney is amazing and we drop some serious cash there. But, I really appreciate the uniqueness of the merchandise in Mickey's Pantry. I feel like people all across the globe can order the merchandise in World of Disney online (well, at lot of it anyway) without ever having to step foot on Disney Property, But the items in Mickey's Pantry are really only things you can buy at Disney World.

Good morning today's topic will be dessert! Where in WDW is the best dessert?

Mine is the Blueberry Fruitbuckle at the Garden Grille.

I have to say that we dont do many desserts while in Disney..we sell cakes and other treats at home so dessert just does not do it for us any more. (we always have the dining plan and most places are good about allowing us to trade our desserts for bottle water to go :)) But if I had to get something it would be a simple Mickey Ice Cream on a stick. Got one everynight while on the Dream!!! :slurp:
