Best in the rain...

I like MK in the rain, the Rainy Day Parade is awesome, and there are a good amount of attraction under roof cover. Also, a good a lot of people will go under cover and not move so ceratin rides lines drop down to nothing. Plus seeing where water is going to empty from is pretty fun too. One time I was standing in line for Peter Pan, and all of a sudden this water just rushed out from a hole in the stone blocks, must of been a drain for the gutter. The line scrambled.

Well my family decided that Animal Kingdom is the worst to visit in the rain do to the animals taking shelter in the back lot hence you cant see them also, DAK's attractions are mostly outdoors.

We always go to Epcot when it rains, because of most of the attractions being indoors. Like others have commented on though any park is good because the lines are short. People don't like to get wet.

Epcot

Some of my most fond memories from when I was little are being at Epcot when it rains. I can't place my finger on it but there's just something about being there while it's raining.

MGM is good too though, but only because you can burst into song. "I'm singin' in the rain, just singin' in the raain." :D

We prefer EPCOT, most attractions are lengthy and indoors (including the lines). We never leave a park if it starts raining we just put on a poncho and keep going. BUT if the forecast calls for rain all day we go to EPCOT.

I completely agree with this, although if you are wanting to see ALL of Epcot then going in the rain is a bad choice (unless you don't mind getting wet). Because of the size of the park getting from attraction to attraction can certainly make your voyage a wet one. Also, I have been to World Showcase in the rain, and the whole place seemed like a ghost town. It was pretty eerie being there with Nothing at all going on.

We had the opposite thing happen. We saw more animals on the safari ride and also the gorillas and tigers were playing.

We always head to Animal Kingdom when it rains. Yeah…you get a little wetter, but worth it!

Just got back yesterday, and the last night of our trip it was raining constantly, no thunder or lightening, and we went to MK. Big Thunder and Splash Mountain were running due to just the light rain, and everyone must have thought they would be closed, so there were absolutely no lines, walked on both, two times in a row at about 8 p.m....by contrast, Peter Pan, an indoor attraction, was 70 minutes!! So I say, MK, unless it is a huge storm. Riding Big Thunder in our ponchos with light rain was a lot of fun.

I think everytime we've hit rain when we were in Disney was when we were in Epcot. We don't plan our vacation around rain. Wherever we are, we are. For some uncanny reason we are always in Epcot. And you know what, we have no problems at all when it's raining there. We can find something to go into or walk around in the rain, doesn't matter to us!

I'm with everyone who says Animal Kingdom. We went one morning last August right before Hurricane Whatever hit. Everyone else stayed in the hotels thinking a downpour was coming any moment. But we saw that it was currently only a sprinkle and headed out :animwink: The park was EMPTY! We walked onto most rides including the safari, and saw all of the animals - none of them seemed bothered by the rain. Only problem we had was the Pocohontas show was cancelled (I know, everyone else hates it, but she's my daughter's favorite).

I suspect Animal Kingdom might be less fun and the animals may take cover in a heavy, constant storm. But in a lighter rain, it was great!

We have liked MK in the Rain. Lots of attractions, mostly indoors and close together so the rain exposure is less :animwink: Also lots of shops to duck into. We did MK one morning in the Rain and blitzed right through it, doing most of our Fav attractions by noon!.

The downside to EPCOT is that the attractions are spaced a ways apart without walking cover so you will get wetter! Also I believe they shut down Test Track when it rains.

MGM is also not a great choice because they tend to shut down the stunt shows.

We have not done AK in the rain but it would not be bad if you don't mind getting wet. Again the attractions are spread out without covered walking and there are fewer shops to take refuge in. On the other hand you could do Kali River Rapids, after all you are already wet

Like folks said though, if you are not afraid of getting rained on go SOMEWHERE as the crowds will generally be WAY less.

Big Thunder in the rain is awesome! Once, my daughter and I got caught in a sudden downpour shortly after our ride began. By the end of the ride we were soaked but couldn't stop laughing. We would have gone right back on but they closed it down because of the rain.
