Best in the rain...

From our experience, the best park in the rain is either of the water parks. As long as there is no lightning, the water parks will stay open. And the lines for the waterslides will be short!

I know you're looking for ideas regarding the best rainy-day disney park, but, if you don't mind, I'd like to be a bit more specific by adding my favorite rainy-day attraction: Illuminations.

A couple of years ago, we were about to leave Epcot as Illuminations was beginning (with a pretty substantial rain). Before we left, though, we decided to get a peek of the show. It was incredible; the show, IMO, looked completely different from the non-rainy Illuminations. Because of all the water droplets in the air, we could see every laser beam and light effect that usually goes unnoticed. Sure, you can see some of the lighting effects because of the smoke; however, the rain makes it perfect!!!!!!!!! Trust me, Illuminations is a must in the rain. We actually hope that it will rain on nights that we are at Epcot. Oh, and don't worry about getting wet. Your day is almost over anyway.

We had the opposite thing happen. We saw more animals on the safari ride and also the gorillas and tigers were playing.

We always head to Animal Kingdom when it rains. Yeah…you get a little wetter, but worth it!

I completely agree!!! the animals love the rain, especially in the summer months. Helps cool things off. I've always seen the most animals on the safari ride when it's raining.

I love Disney in the rain - doesn't matter which park. The great thing is, everyone scrambles to leave - especially if you're lucky enough to be at MK in the evening when it rains. One night, my daughter & I were about to go on the "race cars" in tomorrowland - rains came, everyone left & we just walked on!!! How good is that???

I enjoyed AK in the rain...we stood on the side of this little shop in Anandapur (did I spell that right?) for a while (until there was a river) and then decided it wouldn't really hurt us to get morewet--so we went on Kali a couple times
