Best deluxe resort

Wilderness Lodge.

The rooms aren't as large as other deluxes, but the price is less. The hotel ALWAYS looks beautiful. I think it's got the best executed theme of any Disney Resort. It smells fantastic throughout the resort. The pool areas are great, with fantastic hot tubs. Food is awesome. Best resort in my opinion for all 3 meals. Location is great. It's a romantic resort for adults, but also a fun resort for children. The staff there are all very nice.

We've stayed at the Yacht Club, and while it was nice and had great transportation, we felt it was over priced. AKL has amazing ambiance, tons to do, a great resort feel, good transportation, all for a reasonable price.

I have stayed at the AKL and it was absolutely beautiful and the savannah view was very cool!

My fiance is rooting for the wilderness lodge as he stayed there when he was younger and is in love with it. We hotel hopped a year ago and the wilderness lodge was tied with the boardwalk for our top choice as our next resort stay! :)

I would say for sure you get the most for your money at the WL. I would have said that about the AKL but the location is what I hold against it.

If money is no object I would pick the Polynesian every time.

Polynesian wins for convenience and room size. Then again, you can rent points and stay in a 1 bedroom villa at WL for about the same or less money than the Polynesian, and there is no contest there. The 1 bedroom villa at the Wilderness Lodge is the best room I've ever stayed at on Disney property.

Sadly for me, I won't stay at the Poly until they get rid of that horrendous air freshener they have poisoning the lobby. I like to spend time at the bar and have a few drinks, and I can't stand the smell.

I would have to say BC.... location is awesome, pool is perfect, rooms are big, dining choices are plentiful. Love walking into Epcot and DHS and it's even better to walk back to BC after Illuminations. Looking so forward to AKV this year but it will be tough to beat BC.

Polynesian

Love them all, but hands down for us, is the Polynesian! Yes, the rooms are a very nice size, the restaurants there are terrific, easy access to magic kingdom and a monorail ride away from Epcot. The grounds are gorgeous, pools are fun and the Concierge level offerings are very nice! (and after a few days, the music played through out, becomes extremely soothing!)

Contemporary/ Bay Lake Towers...yeah it's not the most Disney themed place but it has nothing but good places to eat, quiet pools, and understated but still obvious Disney charm. You can walk to the magic kingdom and don't have to take kids out of strollers when you go to Epcot. You also can look at the magic kingdom all night from your window or from hallways in the hotel and that definitely keeps you in the mood during the entire trip!

Count me in on the WL!!! With the Boardwalk Inn being next in line!!

Grand Floridian here! The design and theming of the place is awesome. It has so many Disney details, you just have to look, and they are everywhere. The pools are awesome, service impeccable, food is fantastic, great location, and the activities for kids is abundant. I like Poly, but it has nothing compared to GF!

Must agree with the GF selection. Stayed there all the time until bought points in DVC. Wilderness Lodge is my next favorite. Love the quite atmosphere surrounding the GF.

Wilderness Lodge for us. As stated, 3 wonderful places to eat (that you do not have to leave the building..since I have not stayed at the other wonderful resorts, not sure about this on them..I have just visited them), very quick transport by boat to the Kingdom, many places to explore (one night my wife and I walked around with hot chocolate and found one gentleman asleep on a couch near an upstairs fireplace with a book), the trainsets from Walt to see in the DVC WL, the background music being played during the day, while at night, you can hear crickets playing...walk up to a speaker, and they stop...just like real crickets! I grew up in the western U.S. and this place brings back so much when my parents and I traveled alot!
